  1. What am I supposed to do with the 200+ pounds of Rat-L-Traps I have...
  2. I've been looking at this as well for a new swimbait reel. As for the price, they're coming in at $280-299
  3. I own the LTB 7'1" M/F rod and I use mine for keel weighted Keitech's and for smaller Fish Head spins. I haven't really thrown anything over 1/2oz. with mine, but I would say it would work just fine for 1.5 squarebills and 1/4-1/2oz rattle traps.
  4. Do you want a Ferrari or a Viper?
  5. I'm not sure what your budget is, but if you're in the $200 range, the new 70 size Curado should be right up your alley. I was flipping 3/16oz. texas rigs with mine with no problem, and I've flipped 1oz. with it and had no problems as well.
  6. The new "Rapala" wiggle warts fish just fine and are a great crankbait for the $4-5 price tag they carry. Sure, the old, Pre-Rapala one's were great and highly sought after, but that doesn't mean the new one's still aren't a good bait.
  7. It's more geared towards hunting, and specifically outfitters. If you're going hoping to see products, you might be disappointed. Expect to have outfitters and taxadermist's harassing you for your business.
  8. If you're not going to use braid, and the weeds/cover doesn't call for a frog, I'd be throwing some other type of topwater bait, like a buzzbait.
  9. Do a Google search. It comes up on the Shimano Japan page.
  10. Different strokes for different folks...
  11. I only throw black buzzbaits anymore, but I honestly think if they're eating a buzzbait, they'll probably hit any color you throw.
  12. If you're willing to part that sunfish one, PM me.
  13. If this is the same one that the head that attaches to the spool spins 360* while you're spooling, then yes, I have seen promo video's for it and it looks like it would twist your line terribly. However, if that head that holds the spool is in a fixed position, then this looks like a great product.
  14. That's not buyers remorse, that's called the bait monkey, and you have already been bitten. There is no known cure. Best of luck.
  15. I've already got 3 of the '13 Metaniums and they're my favorites. This MGL feels even nicer in my hands so far. I'm sure I'll be selling some of my other reels to get myself 2-3 of the Chronarch MGL's once they're available. I got that Tatula HLC for frogging. The 8.1 ratio should be well suited for that.
  16. I added three new members to my starting rotation this winter.
  17. My buddy kills the largemouth with the pearl white/chartruese tail. Bluegill flash and Houdini work well up here as well because we have a lot of bluegill and perch.
  18. It has Shimano in the name, doesn't it?
  19. The spawn can be different in every body of water, so perhaps someone is more of an expert on this than me. However, no/little ice can mean a longer growing season for the fish, and around here, it usually means a weedier fishing season than normal.
  20. Glass is the way to go, and yes, stick with the 580. I wear the green mirror and it's worked well in all water conditions. I'm no expert on lens colors, but I've been told that any mirrored lens is better for sunny conditions. I ordered mine through a dealer I found on Facebook, and he was able to save me around $50-60 off retail.
  21. Considering I have 20+ casting reels, there's no way I could afford to swap them all out. I would recommend trying it out on one or two reels before you go changing them all out. There's so many different brands and lengths, so I would do some research.
  22. My Father and Grandfather still have some Extreme's from the late 90's/early 00's that they still use. They love the powerhump grip on the cork handle because they hold their rod down there. I still have 2 myself stashed away at my parent's house somewhere. I figured they would eventually go away with the Carbonlite series.
  23. Pretty neat to see that split shot at the tail like that. Ancient technology before they figured out how to put a moving ball weight inside of the plastic body. Sorry, but I can't help with the dating.
