You can only read so much on lures, techniques, seasonal movements, etc. This book looks like it could be a fresh read.
How is the memory on the 20# 100% fluoro? I used 17# vanish a couple years back on a flipping rig and the memory was so bad I got no distance. I have used mono for flipping ever since.
The longer the rod the farther you can flip and pitch. You also get a better hook set which helps in the thick stuff.
You would be able to cast better with the 7'2" rod though.
Costa's w/ 580 lenses. They really make a big difference. They really make colors stand out. They make all colors brighter. For instance, I was doing yard work in the spring and i was raking up the dead grass then the sun came out and I put on the glasses. After that all the brown spots really stood out.
On those days when the sun is high, there is no wind and you have gone hours without a bite what bait will you use to avoid getting skunked?
For me its a senko or 4" spider grub with an 1/8th oz weight.
