I thought I would try to see if indeed my old battery was bad. I took for granted my battery was fine, but the day before I last went fishing, I noticed the water level was below the plates, or non existent. I needed to charge the battery right away, or call off the next days fishing. Instead of using distilled water to top it off, I used purified water. Now I know that's not good. Is there a way I can still use the battery if it's good ? I was thinking of leaving the caps off and letting the water evaporate, while leaving the electrolytes intact, and then adding distilled water. I don't know how long it will take for this to happen though. Any other suggestions, before I get a new battery ? Thanks.
