  1. I take the pedestal off the seat and put the seat directly into the pedestal plate or put both seats on the floor of the boat or back of the truck.
  2. I use Seafoam Motor Treatment (Walmart carries it) It is good to use in all gasoline and diesel engines and it is safe to use because it is a petroleum product. I use it all the time. Hope this helps.
  3. I have an old Minn Kota tiller handle trolling motor about 15 years old that is making alot of noise in high gear, but sounds fine in reverse. It's probably the bearing going out. Will this noise spook bass? Any reply is appreciated.
  4. I'm getting ready to purchase a flipping rod and reel. I'll be flipping in tree tops and water hyacinths. What size tungsten weights and what size hooks will I need to use? Any info. is greatly appreciated.

  7. I need some help guys. I plan to go fishing tomorrow but there is a 50% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms. Forecast to have a south wind at 10 MPH. I plan to fish till Noon and don't mind getting wet. Am I wasting my time?
  8. I use 14 lb. test Stren on my reels. The places I fish have muddy bottoms with a few snags,logs,etc. Just wondering if 14 lb. test is too much or should I go smaller? All advice is appreciated.

  12. I fish in South Louisiana. One of the lakes I fish is Lake Verret. It is a fairly shallow lake with the average depth of 10 ft or less depending on the amount of rainfall. It has numerous canals and bayous plus it is a fairly large body of water. It has steadily rained since last Monday. Will the bass fishing be decent or am I wasting my time? If it won't be worth a durn, how long should I wait before making a trip?
  13. Glad you didn't have a major accident. I use a receiver lock to lock the receiver hitch. It stays on my truck all the time. No problems. Hope this helps.
  14. I am getting ready to order some rat-l-trap lures for bass. I currently use a chrome with blue back on one lake. The water is brownish to slightly stained.The other lake is green colored water that mixes with slightly stained water coming from canals. I have a 2015 catalog which is full of lures that display many color patterns. Just having a hard time choosing which ones to purchase. Any help is appreciated.
  15. I have read about the Lucky Craft Sammy topwater lure. Is this bait worth the money? They sell for around $16. I am thinking about getting one. Any advice is appreciated.
  16. I've been using Stren monofilament for years. I recently bought 2 Zebco 33 reels and put 10 lb. Stren monofilament on them. As I was looking at the various types of line that are available theses days, I came across Stren Flurocarbon line. What is the difference between monofilament and fluorocarbon line? Flurocarbon is a little more than monofilament. Is it worth the extra money and go with Flurocarbon? Any advice is appreciated.
  17. I plan on going bass fishing 2 days after a cold front. Is that a good day to go? I always heard it's best to fish right before a front. A little help is appreciated.
  18. I haven't had much success using spinner baits. I would like to get some advice on what colors to use in stained and clear water, the type of retrieve to use, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  19. Which fish attractants are good to use on plastic worms? Is there an advantage to using them?
  20. I would like to know if stainless hooks are ok to use with plastic worms and brushhogs. A fishing buddy told me stainless steel hooks will spook bass.
