Thanks! Sorry, I am pretty busy right now, but that will change on the 5th. I went out another few times and didn't get so lucky. Got some really good bites, but I am still trying to learn how and when to set the hook with this Texas rig.
Thanks guys!
Yeah, I put some 12lb Spiderwire mono on it. It's something I had left over from another reel last October. I want to go to some braided line, but that will have to wait for some $$.
I carry everywhere I go. I currently carry a Taurus Millenium PT111 9mm. I carry IWB with a Kel-Tec belt clip. I can't seem to get comfortable with a holster. I will eventually go to open carrying a 1911 with 3 extra mags. I run that setup when I go play airsoft (I feel this is the most beneficial training for me) and am very comfortable with 1911's. My wife also carries my Kel-Tec P11 and we are both really comfortable and pretty accurate with both guns. She will go to something else once we get the cash to try out a few setups for her. I will be teaching our son to shoot as soon as he is old enough.. I have a ways to go for that, he just hit 1 month and 1 week old.
Thanks guys. I am excited to get more into Bass fishing. I wanted to last year but didn't because of what others in my family wanted to do. I gave up on them and will be doing what I want to do.
I am just getting into bass fishing and would love to know some decent bank fishing spot around here. I do have access to a boat, but it's not something I want to rely on. I will eventually, but I just bank fish for now. I live in Middleton and have been going to Duff for practice (about 3 minutes from my house) rather than in our yard. Any good spots that aren't 2 hours out?
My name is Chris and I have been watching bassresource's videos and using their tips. Very good videos and very helpful. I have been going to a local pond and haven't caught anything in 10+ trips. I decided to use my baitcaster I got a LONG time ago from someone that hated using it and wanted to throw it away. First trip before watching his videos was a nightmare and I almost did the same as the previous owner. After watching the casting and how to find bass videos I decided to try it again and try out the Texas rig. I landed 4 bass that were smaller, but I finally caught some. I missed 10+ bites from not knowing what I am doing. I didn't set the hook on 2-3 of those that I knew were a bite because of bird nesting and other inexperienced casting issues. I am so glad I found your videos. They have helped me out and they definitely WORK! I look forward to learning and eventually teaching my son how to effectively fish! Thanks for all the help.
