  6. Holes are likely from birds. I wonder if many of these situations are the result of two bass trying to eat the same bait fish.
  7. Might try a guide at these lakes to show you the ropes, or go with somebody as a backseater. Might save you days of trial and error.
  8. Don't forget DVL, Skinner, and Silverwood! Not too far?
  9. Apples and oranges!
  10. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rapala-Touch-Screen-Tourney-Scale-15lb-/301882692685?hash=item46499c544d:g:nhQAAOSwx-9W0Mfd You can get these "jaws" at hardware stores. They do pinch. If you are using the cheapy scales that I have recommended, then you need to fabricate a bigger hook. Then just carefully insert the hook in the last gill opening under the chin. Please do not poke another hole in the fish!
  11. A buddy caught a 9+ on it!
  12. Doubt it will fly in CA. Falls under the definition of "chum". No can chum in FW.
  13. I guarantee, nobody wants to see me fish in the buff!!!
  14. Ever tried Rib Eye? lol! Have not hunted or eaten squirrel in many moons!
  15. My guess is that your hook point is not making contact with the fish. Be sure that the hook is not so buried in the bait that it has no way of sticking the fish.
  16. School of hard knocks; seems nobody ever graduates!
  17. This whole thread makes me want some guacamole!
  18. Oh yeah! I know that place!!!
  19. The Chargers will start off good... or bad, then have a GREAT December, then falter, then fail. You can set your clock by the above info!
  20. Couldn't tell ya, I'm married!
  21. Now I get you avatar!
  22. Reminds me of one of my most embarrassing moments. I too started on a rigid MTB. My first experience with a hard tail was painful. I purposely rode into a ditch hoping to come out the other side unscathed. Well the mushy forks collapsed further than I expected and the bike cartwheeled me to the far side. After the initial "are you OK" everyone had a good laugh! That was not the last time I was pitched, but the one I remember best. As for the getting old thing, I hate it!
  23. So you're saying you lack confidence.
