  1. http://www.basspro.com/Pflueger-President-Spinning-Reel/Bass-Pro-Shops-Graphite-Series-Rod-Spinning-Combos/product/1212040610323/ just bought this a week ago and i love it
  2. I came on here a few weeks ago looking for advice on a new rod and reel combo. Someone pointed me in the direction of the Pflueger president 6930 reel. the reel is amazing for the price, everything is so smooth, drag is very easily controlled. So thank you for your advice. http://www.basspro.com/Pflueger-President-Spinning-Reel/Bass-Pro-Shops-Graphite-Series-Rod-Spinning-Combos/product/1212040610323/

  5. thanks for info, i will have a look at the Pflueger President. when i go into bass pro shop and ask a sales guy what is decent for 150$ price range they seem too push for either more money or pre made combos. I dont know a lot about fishing but from what research i did and what i read is that pre made combos are not as quality as spending 50-80$ on rod and reel separately. any information you can give it greatly appercaited
  6. jesus dont i feel dumb, thanks for a quick answer is there an advantage using one over another?
  7. I am looking for a new reel and rod setup, i figured out the rod i want but just when i think i found a reel another pops up. i found these 2 reels and cannot seem to figure out what the different between the two of them are. The RG has a lot more reviews and better reviews but when i read descriptions of both they seem exact same. Sorry for dumb question i am really new to fresh water fishing and just trying not too get ripped off. http://www.basspro.com/Shimano-Spirex-FG-Front-Drag-Spinning-Reels/product/102802/?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT http://www.basspro.com/Shimano-Spirex-RG-Rear-Drag-Spinning-Reels/product/104123/
  8. thanks for help , i got all these written down so i got ideas when i go into next too buy
  9. i was thinking that but when i first went to bass pro they seem like they were selling me the flavour of the month. they seemed very stiff. anytime i asked about a different rod they would show me really nice one's at 150$ or higher mark. would something like this pair up with that reel fine?http://www.basspro.com/St-Croix-Triumph-Series-Spinning-Rods/product/103653/?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT
  10. http://www.basspro.com/Pflueger-President-6900-Series-Spinning-Reel-Model-6930/product/10213341/ http://www.basspro.com/Shakespeare-Ugly-Stik-Lite-Spinning-Rods-6-6-M/product/16669/ 6'6 medium version would these go together well?
  11. price range is around 150$ , probably be going to bass pro shop since they offer a military discount. I just dont want to walk in to that store blind because it can get expensive quick. i have done research on different rod and reels but you see the best about them and the absolute worst, so any experience with certain company would be a great help as well.
  12. I am looking for information on spinning reel and rods for fresh water fishing. I am very new to fresh water fishing (bass ,pike, walleye etc) i bought a used baitcaster setup used off kijiji in my area but its not very good for lighter tackle. So i need help in finding a decent setup for a reasonable price.
