I have 4 poles ranging from ultra light to medium, 3 spinning and one baitcaster. I've got mono on the spinning and braided on my baitcaster, Im not the greatest fisherman and don't know too many techniques outside of the basics

Ok i understand my question may have been addressed before and yes Im a newbie to this but Im not looking to watch a video, i joined to actually get some help and opinons.

I've asked resources and done some research and havent been able to find a whole lot to help me. I fish a local pand that has a lot of largemouth bass in it ranging from 6oz all the way up to 5lbs, and I've had some pretty good luck with the smaller ones but I can't seem to land anything over a pound. I've thrown the most of my tackle box at them with no luck. it can only be fished from the banks, it's not terribly deep, its mostly open water with little to no cover and no underwater logs/trees/rocks, etc...and Im lost as to how i can land a pig!!
