  1. Yeah I get where they are coming from but at the same time I don't see why they would get so mad about something so small I mean she was furious
  2. Not positive that I read this right but I mean really I could be doing worse things. It's not like I hurt anyone or anything.
  3. Ok I think I'm gonna let it cool off a bit as in let them settle down I'm going to my soon anyway for a few week sand I'll be fishing at least two. Hopefully it works out
  4. I meant my drivers license I'm only 15 so I don't need a fishing license yet. When I go permission I was with my friend and it was kind of an accident cause one of the residents came over and said he knew we weren't from there but it's fine as long as we don't keep any fish or be annoying.
  5. Topwater or a stick worm weightless t rigged stick worm fished faster then a jerk bait but slower than a spook subsurface
  6. So there is this pond in a subdivision right next to my subdivision that I fished regularly. I don't have a boat or my license and that the only place withing walking/biking distance. Anyway the pond is for residents only but I had permission from one of the residents and I have friends there so I figured I'd be fine. I was just fishing there having a pretty good day for this pond caught 4 in the half to one pound range and my first buzzbait fish of the year. I went home hot lunch and came back. Any way some lady decided age needed to drive over to the pond and ask us to leave and threatened to call the cops. So obviously we left, but now what do I do. I have nowhere to fish now and I need my fix. I guess it's my fault but what should I do now I mean I had permission but I guess that's not enough
  7. Yeah I have quite a few pets lol 2 bearded dragons a leopard gecko and a ball python possibly getting an amazon tree boa lol!
  8. I'm originally from New York so I'm a Yankees fan and I get a bunch of crap for that lol
  9. Arv lol I saw that! Also I'm about to go on a trip and I can only bring 2 setups I'm planning on bringing my 7' med fast baitcaster and a 6'4" (was 6'6" but friends little sis slammed it in the car door) for finesse stuff. I plan on using the baitcaster for everything else is this good? My only concern is jigs and frogs (not much slop so that's not the problem) everyone says you need heavy for frogs and jigs and stuff, but I think I like the med. I can use pretty much everything except big swimbaits and punching rigs which I haven't gotten into anyway, but I don't want to lose a fish because of a bad hook set I mean it's got enough backbone I think considering I've straightened a few hooks with it and I have 50# braid on it. I have confidence in it but now I'm kinda gun shy about it I guess.
  10. Hi I have a spare 6'6" mdhvy rod (I know it's pretty short but oh well) that I plan on being multipurpose and I need a reel for the same I was thinking something that is 7.1:1 or the like. I plan on using it for light frogging, flipping/pitching, jigs some Texas/carolina rigging I also plan on getting a heavy rod for punching and heavy cover frogging but I already know what I want for that. My budget is around 100$ I was thinking a pro qualifier. Is this good?
  11. I don't have my license and the age for cabelas is 18 and my parents don't give me money I worked at the concession stand for my baseball league but the season is over an my neighbors pay me to dog sit for them every now and then. On the bright side though I don't have that big of a tackle selection or rod and reel arsenal anyway (2 baitcasters 2 spinning about to be at least one more baitcaster)
  12. Ok I fish a similar way I usually look for the normal fish holding spots lay downs, points, drop offs, underwater cover (large rocks, trees grass, docks, etc). Any of these are good but If you can find a combination of these things or just one of these things along with forage (minnows, small bluegill, crayfish, shad, etc.) you know you've got a winner. The crayfish are usually in the rocks so that's where you throw those imitators the baitfish are usually in the grass, frogs are obviously in the slop and everything lives in fallen trees. The best spots will probably be fallen trees both above and below the water leading to a drop off or docks leading to a drop off.
  13. Okay the bait monkey is starting to get me. I just made a 50$ PTL order and a 65$ tackle warehouse order. It doesn't seem like much but I'm only a rising sophomore in high school and no job! What's worse is there's a cabelas opening up about 15 minutes away (never been so excited to lose so much money!) a bass pro just opened about 30 minutes away and there is a gander mtn in that same area. How do I control the bait monkey? Anyone else have this problem hahaha?
  14. Wow talk about choking it
  15. I would use a *** pro series jig with a rage craw trailer or something of the sort. You won't get hung up as much as with a football jig.
  16. I don't know if it works on this forum bu on a different forum I emailed the picture to myself on my phone and it says to choose image size just pick the smaller size then save it to your camera roll and post
  17. Thanks very much! I know this site will be great!
  18. It seems I'm missing out because I don't fish tubes that much but I've always been able to get them on a hula popper or a jitterbug in the morning and dusk an a curly tail grub when they are real finicky
  19. Hey my name is Bryce I'm 15 years old and I'm just recently starting to get really into fishing. I've always LOVED fishing but now I'm starting to get more serious about it. Using almost strictly lures just got my first baitcaster and I'm about to get another one in the next few months. I like baseball and I also have a passion for animals and I, know it sounds weird but particularly reptiles. That's pretty much a lot about me and now you know the things I like to do! I hope to get to know you guys better and scone a better fisherman because of this forum. I hope I can do my part to contribute!
  20. Ok thanks I will try that and I'll go to the introduction forums. Last year I went I noticed the fish were really keye in on crayfish so I'll try some craw baits this time too. The sandbar leads to a steep drop off but in the morning most of the fish are cruising the shallows. Do you think dragging a Texas rig or a jig or something over the edge of the drop off could produce?
  21. Okay so I go on a trip to my grandparents every year. There are a lot of gamefish there largest, northern, walleye, smallies it's up near the adirondack mountains. Anyway there is this spot in the bay where they live and it's about a 50 yard by 50 yard section of 2-3 foot water. I know it holds fish because I've seen them. I can't figure out how to get them on this spot though. It's mostly smallies but some good largest are there too. It's very clear if that helps and there are spots with submerged grass spread throughout a mostly sand bottom sandbar/flat. Any suggestions, btw this is my first post so sorry if I did it wrong.
