  1. No problem & thanks! I mounted the paddle holders on both sides actually. I usually have a paddle on one side, and a telescoping boat hook on the other. Yes, mounted on the outside. I used stainless steel screws with mariene grade silicone sealer. I saw the other posts about rivnuts...might try those if I feel the screws are getting loose. I might have gone that direction if I had known about them earlier. I got Scotty holders. http://www.amazon.com/Shoreline-Marine-SL52237-Telescoping-Boat/dp/B004UOTQYS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_200_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=0XQ8JGFVQ6MRDRJXAFQS http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001M4HT3Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0062BXBVG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00 I'm still debating an anchor system like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001M4HTNY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=F28A9MN6M6LJ&coliid=I36U9NQWDTAPYB
  2. The seat upgrade makes a HUGE difference for a day on the water, even for me who stands and fly fishes most of the time. This is the seat I got. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AXISY6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 I also added fly rod holders and a paddle holders this year. Also got it registered

  5. Can anyone confirm that this seat will work? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AXXAN/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=F28A9MN6M6LJ&coliid=I10VBSYZ7EUYPT&psc=1
  6. I stand up in mine and fly fish all of the time. It's awesome!
  7. Well, got my new battery and took the boat out for a spin on Sunday... 24" rainbow trout on a fly rod. Good weekend
  8. Well, I got a really good deal on the 40lb motor, and it seems ample enough for now. I'm sure it's not the last motor I'll buy. Thanks for the battery advice. I'm going to pick one up this weekend.
  9. Does anyone have advice for a new battery for a min kota 40lb thrust trolling motor? I need a new one. I'd like it to last a long time. I know I need a marine deep cycle battery, but don't know what other options there are.
  10. One modification that the previous owner made was to add a bilge pump in the bottom of it. I'll have to take a pic this weekend- it's a really cool idea. I have read all of the pages in this post and think there are a bunch of great mod ideas. I have the mod bug (I also have a mustang that I mod, so this isn't a big stretch for me...lol)
  11. +1 on top of water. The files I use have anti-weed things on them too. Like this: http://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=12a7
  12. I bought the khakis 10E (used). My family has a cabin along the brandywine river, so it will be used there. I got a 40 lb trolling motor and mushroom anchor. I'll be taking it out for the first time (well, I had a test run last weekend) this coming weekend. I'm totally psyched! It will be so much easier to fly fish in it than the canoe.
