  5. What size is it or can you post a picture of it ? I might be able to help you out. They use to have a store off interstate 55 at the Sardis exit and they closed it, when they did they put everything on sale and me and my partner bought everything they had. this was back in the early 80's and they were a dollar each and they marked them down to a quarter. I have boxes of them.
  6. Give these a try they come in just about every color you will ever need. Bandit Crankbaits Series 100 200 & 300 They also make some great squarebills. I used to live near Sardis where they were made use to pick them up for a Dollar.
  7. I have one of the Orochi XX Casting Rod 7' Medium Flat Side Special and it is one of the most versatile rods I have every used.
  8. Here are a few outings that come to mind, once at Lakeview in MS we were trolling down the cypress trees catching a few fish and I looked ahead of the boat and saw something floating in the water and it was a nice old creek chub wiggle fish, 10' ahead of that another creek chub wiggle fish 10' ahead of that another old bait they just kept coming, I think we ended up finding 10-12 baits floating along so we get back to the boat dock and there is a guy and young boy loading their boat and DAD is livid his tackle box is almost empty. His son had been entertaining himself with Dads floating little boats, so we walked over with a hand full of baits and asked if he was missing something. Needless to say he was a very happy man when he got his baits back. Another time we were fishing a small pond in west TN I think it was called Grishams lake, the water level was low and I saw a stump with something on it, so after further inspection I found 3 original hand carved Big O's I guess they thought it was a fish and kept trying to catch it. I still have those somewhere.
  9. Maybe he told you a fish tale ?
  10. Hoppy's Hoppyslures.com made in Old Hickory TN.
  11. Megabass ARMS Challenge ? at least that's what I hear. I will never know as I'm not going to be spending $1200 + for just a rod.
  12. Its my go to rig when I need to put fish in the boat. its is one of the most versatile rigs there are, like kikstand454 said you can use soft or hard baits. I like using a floating rattle trap on it in the spring and it catches big fish. I also use a jig as the weight some and you get two for the price of one. Give it a try you won't be sorry, except that you haven't tried it already. Good luck
  13. Catawba worms, turn them inside out and hang on !!!
  14. Megabass Destroyer Evoluzion 6'10" Elseil This is by far the best dropshot rod I have ever held. Worth every penny.
  15. I have a few Duckett rods. I have the Mh spinning rod with a dawia steez ex 3012 reel mounted and it is the best spinning set up I have ever used. If you check on ebay you can find a Duckett MH micro magic for $99 with free shipping. .
  16. I took my boat in one time because it didn't seem to want to come out of the hole and jump on plane like it use to. Well after the dealer messed with it for a couple of days trying new props and height settings he asked for my storage key to the middle front locker. And low and behold when he removed the 100 + lbs of plastic and lead, the problem went away. So now I try and keep it under 75 lbs. Dang Bait monkey
  17. Give these a try Decoy Quattro X-S21 Hook or Decoy Treble X-F55 Hook 1/0
  18. Rattles if they are feeding on crawfish or bluegills silent when they are feeding on shad
  19. check out V & M They make a 14" ribbon tail that floats. I have some of those and they are a great worm for C/rig.
  20. one suggestion I can make is about the box itself try the Plano 3701 and 3601 sizes they are the thin series. They are about 3/4'' thinner than the regular 3700 and they will hold the same baits in less space so you can get more boxes in your tackle bag.
  21. Megabass Destroyer Black Jungle 7'4" Power Versatile
  22. Try a keitech swing impact fat on a 5.0 or 6.0 ewg hook try it without weight and if that's not working, try adding weight until you get the correct rate of fall that they are looking for.
  23. Take a look at Ducketts I have 4 and have been really impressed with them they are super light and super sensitive and a 20 year warranty.
  24. I have been using D-A-M TECTAN premium plus in a 18.9 lbs and have been very pleased with it. Small diameter low stretch made in Germany.
