Love my dredge jigs so much I spent fifteen minutes in 95 degree heat working a snag free instead of just breaking off. It finally came up after some serious pulling with no damage whatsoever.

You could do some ledge fishing at Pickwick or Beech Lake if you want something smaller. Nashville is cooler than Memphis unless it's May or Grizzlies playoff time.

I was in a hurry with him because as you can see the line is still in his mouth, he had choked my brush hog. With the bad angle and weird shadow , the pic turned out badly.

I know the pic is terrible. Holding a big fish out at arms length against an open background is the worst possible picture scenario. I did weigh the fish as I do with all my catches over 3 lbs and it was 5lb. The only point of reference I can give you is my hands are pretty decent size and his mouth is dwarfing them.

Love that pic above with the little mouse head looking up from the throat of the bass! My biggest yesterday was a 5lb caught with a DT14. They were choking the plum crazy Texas rigged rage craws dipped in clear JJs also...

I lost three just yesterday so I feel your pain... Not to mention the Gammy hooks.
