  1. I got my Hand Tied treble hooks in from SPEEDBEAD! They look beautiful! There was a great assortment and he even threw in a small Plano Box! Thanks again!
  2. yes, that is where you tie the knot!
  3. There's only a foot or two of ice between me and open water! This time of the year is so depressing for me :-[ .
  4. I agree it's a very good bait on a shakey head.
  5. There's always a lot of debate on this topic. Who knows if scents and salt work. I believe scents help catch bass, which gives me confidence when using them. Having confidence in something goes a long way in my book!
  6. The owner of the store seems like a very nice guy. Give him a try you might find something you like! His website always freezes my computer though, I need a new one!
  7. Make sure you use at least a 3 Mil. Bag if you are putting scent in it.. So the scent don't leak.
  8. Here's a picture of the 10" TrickWorms
  9. Apparently not much. You should have at least 50 of them rigged up every time you hit the water. THEY WILL CATCH MUCHO FISH. Love, Bait Monkey. ;D Haha.... Thanks for the advice bait Monkey!
  10. I personally think those baits are Junk. But what do I know?
  11. If they are scented worms you should keep them in the bag or the scent will slowly leave the baits. Anything else I take out of the bags.
  12. Crankbaits - less than 10 Spinnerbaits - 1 or 2 Topwater Baits - 2 Zara Spooks! SwimBaits - 2 Soft Plastics - Endless ammount!
  13. And they sell basically the same lures you can buy from Barlow's. I wonder who makes all of that???
  14. Here's a picture of the 10" trick style worm that I will have by next wednesday! I'm also getting a six inch version.
  15. I'm sure anyone would be pleased with that nice lookin lure! Great Job!
  16. Maybe we could post pictures of what we are sending out? Or receiving.
  17. I'm getting a custom 10" Trick Worm made for me, should be done in a month or so!
  18. In the river in the heat of summer my favorite bait is the Zara Puppy!! Nothing funner than top water smallies!
  19. I talked to the GYCB guy at the Bassathon this year and asked him about that. He said that the Kinami and the Yamamoto baits are the same except for the swirl colors, someone else makes those. But as far as the grubs, flashes, worms, and palm trees go, they are all made by GYCB out of the same plastics with the same salt content. I believe they are even made in the same building. Might check out getbitlures.com for some ika's. 6 pack for $4.00, custom colors available. Hand poured and a little better than the originals! Just cause it's GYBC doesn't mean its always the best bait, most expensive for sure though!
  20. I voted for Zoom. Hands down my favorite. Second place would be berkley, they have good worms. I hate GYBC, way to overpriced! $6 for $.80 worth of plastic?
  21. TU is back up and running!!!!
  22. 1. Yes you need to seal it. I use Devcon 2 ton epoxy. (make sure you don't get the quick dry 5minutes) I usually mix it with some rubbing alcohol so it's easier to spread out evenly. Also you can put some food coloring in with the epoxy so you can see where you have already been. I let 1 coat dry then I apply a second coat. If you get enough epoxy on the cavity you won't need any release agent for a shiny bait!! 2. Use pyrex for your own safety!!! 3. You can't really make a mold for skirts. You can cut them with a razor if you make tubes. If you are looking for something like a fat ika skirt that you can attatch to a bait then goto www.getbitlures.com. Best skirts on the market and made by a fellow hand pourer. His are injected. 4. I usually put mine in a ziplock back. But you want to try to use it all up when it's fresh or you will have a chance at getting a lot of bubbles. 5. NO!! not if you have just enough epoxy on it!!
  23. Does anyone know of anyone that sells lead heads for swimbaits? I'm not talking about the kind that you attatched to swimbaits. I want the kind that I could pour plastic over, so the lead is inside the body. Any help would be great!!!! Or are they the same thing?? I have no clue.
  24. I get some bubbles after doing quite a few reheats. Calhoun plastic has been known to have a lot of bubbles in it, on the first heat up. But since you said it does it on reheats, then i'll assume you are using someone else's plastic. Also be sure not to put any baits in your cup that have recently been exposed to water, that will cause a bubble up. Sometimes scents will cause bubbles too, if they are not mixed properly.
