I trying to see if you'll can help me with the selection of my new rod and reel. I told my wife I wanted it for Fathers Day but im not sure what set up. Right now i have an 6'6 medium ugly stick with an open face reel (not sure what brand) that im very comfotable with. 90% of the time im fishing a T-rig and small square bills. Im looking to start throwing jigs, larger crank baits and experimenting with different styles of fishing. What would be ya'lls recommendation for this next set up. $150 is my ceiling and my reel has to be a baitcaster. She will most likely shop at Academy, Dicks, or Bass pro shop. If I need to increase my ceiling please let me know. Thanks

Im trying to get on the water this weekend and im looking for someone to fish with. I live in the south fulton area and have been fishing small and public reservoirs. Im trying to branch out a bit and need a fishing buddy. I go fishing almost every weekend so if this weekend isnt good we cant set something up for another time. If anyone is interested let me know. Im new to the site and fairly new to fishing. I live in the south fulton area and have been fishing little ponds in my area and Coweta County. I have been pulling lots of small bass out these ponds so my confidence was sky high. I recently decided to step out and try a public reservoir in the Douglasville area (Sweetwater Creek Park). I have went out 3 weekends in a row with out a single bite. Just cant seem to find the fish. Anywyay im looking for some diffent area to fish so I can logs some more hours on the water and a fishing buddy that loves to be on the water as much as me. I dont have a boat so I have been casting from the bank and renting small fishing boat with trolling motors.
