Well I do have a one piece mold and it works perfectly fine but it takes forever sometimes to get a good one. I wanted to try a two piece so I would get a good bait most of the time with not much extra flash. And also not spending a lot of money

I've tried that and it didn't seem to work don't think getting the plastic hotter worked but I'll have to try again. I have better plastic now. That mold was one of my first ones

I just made a two part plaster mold an half go from belly to tail and the other half are flipped and got from tail to belly. I have tried belly to tail before and couldn't get the plastic all the way to the tail. Would the tail to belly work?

I am trying to find a Bobby Garland Baby Shad mold. Do you know of any company that will make it. I don't think there is a patent on the bait and other companies have copied it. I know how much bait making costs so you don't have to warn me.

I was looking at the St Croix panfish Series. Mainly the 6'9 and 7' versions. The 6'9 is ul fast and the 7' is l xfast. Is there really a difference. I will be casting and reeling jigs with plastics mainly and maybe catching an occasional bass. I want to know which rod would be better for me. Is the ultralight too light for bass and is the light too heavy for panfish? Is there a difference in sensitivity between the two?

I was fishing for carp one time with my brother and dad (at a family friends cabin) and it was slow so we decided to do some pan fishing to pass some time and left the carp pole sitting on the dock (this was our first mistake). The the pole started to move so my dad stepped on it and the line immediately snapped. He decided to rig it back up and throw it back out set it down again and keep pan fishing (second mistake). A little later my mom called to see how it was going and my dad started to talk about what had happened earlier with the pole when suddenly the pole flew into the water like a bullet. It was my dads natural reaction to go after the pole and with his phone between his ear and shoulder and his panfish pole in hand. His phone and sunglasses flew in the water and he managed to save the sunglasses but the phone sunk to the bottom. We went on fishing and almost landed a nice carp(we would've had it but we didn't have a net and we tried to grab the line to get it in) A couple weeks later we went back to do the same thing with more knowledge and we didn't set the poles down on the dock when fishing. We were doing alright but then my brother had to go to the bathroom. The friends cabin was locked and we just had permission to fish off his dock. Luckily the neighbor was out and we could use his and he starts telling this story of how he was on his dock when this boat went by and hooked something. They though it was something big and when they got it up to the boat it was a pole. The neighbor told them if they wanted it they could have it but they said no and gave it to the neighbor. It turns out that it was our pole that flew into the water. I think it is cool that they happened to catch it when the neighbor was outside because if he wasn't outside than they probably would've kept the pole and we would never have got the pole back. That is my story of a lost rod. We never recovered the cell phone though.

I have a tatula type r I use. I was seriously considering that reel until someone told me about the tatula and I found out they are better. On Abu's site many people complain about how sometimes they have to turn the reel many times before it clicks and starts to reel in. I got my tatula off ebay for $144 brand new, and only 1 other guy bid. You could go for a regular tatula if you wants and could get one for a lot cheaper I'm sure. I don't think there is much difference except for a lighter spool on the type r, but the only reason why I chose the type r was because of the 8.1:1 gear ratio not offered on the regular tatula!

Never mind this post. I probably had one of the worst brain farts of my life.

Does anybody know why the guides on the LT frog rod are backwards (like a spinning rod)? What do you think about it? Does it make it better or worse? What was the point of that?

I looked it up and I was looking more for the tatula type r (the one in 8.1:1) the normal one doesn't have that gear ratio

I found the rod for $65 and I was thinking about the daiwa tatula type r more than the abu now!

Does anyone have an idea about how old those L&T rods are? Aren't they pretty old?

Anyone know of any honey holes somewhere around SE MN? The farthest north I will go is usually somewhere around faribault but any suggestions?

Do you have any of the reels I mentioned? Tatula type r or revo sx
