  1. I hate to admit it, but when I'm looking for a laugh I watch Smosh. What's your favorite non-fishing youtube channel?
  2. Amen.
  3. Lol that's the truth. Btw congrats on an amazing day of fishing!
  4. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/147612-how-bass-see-color/ You might find an answer here^
  5. I used smaller 3.5-4 inch tubes on bedded smallmouth last year with success. Just looking for a bigger bite.
  6. I'm NOT a fan of her music, but heck that was alright. Looks like a got a new "Latest song stuck in my head" lol
  7. I don't know what makes morning dawn work. But I don't really care because it catches fish! If you find a color that works in your area, use it. Like BassinLou said, make sure to take note of the conditions that particular color caught fish.
  8. This spring I'd like to try "mega" tubes for bedded bass. I have a couple questions about these 6+ inch tube baits. First, how do you rig them? Also, what are you're favorite brands, baits, and colors? So far I'm looking at the Gitzit super tube and Mizmo Ish tube. What would you add? Thanks.
  9. Well sorry to hear it didn't work out. Better luck next time.
  10. I like red or orange craw colors best in early spring.
  11. Pumped for summer. I'm so sick of winter. Even here in SoCal with no rain and snow, the fishing is just too slow...
  12. Hoping for a big bite this spring, goal is to catch a DD largemouth and 6-7 lb smallmouth up in northern ca next october.
  13. 2014 was my first year of "dedicated" bass fishing, so I'd say A+. Caught my Pb and had some amazing days in the late spring, summer and fall. Lots of 3,4 and 5 lbers and a couple of 6-7's. Also got 10-15 smallmouth in the 4-5 lb range one day last fall. Definitely one of the highlights of 2014.
  14. You might be thinking Casitas. Cachuma, Castaic and Casitas are easy to get confused.
  15. How much mono backing do you use for a reel that holds, say, 120 yards of the line diameter you're using?
  16. How do you attach your braid to your reels? Do you prefer to tie directly to the spool, use tape, or mono backing?
  17. X2 what? I would probably get an abu garcia vengeance. Great rod right at $50.
  18. X2. Sorry to hear about his dad. I don't think I could do a tournament (especially the classic) in that situation. I'm rootin' for martens!
  19. No reel is backlash proof. You still need to thumb it. But yes I think DC's are way better than most magnetic/centrifugal systems.
  20. 7'10" is actually really good for tubes, Matt Allen uses a 7'8" dobyns, if you're going to dropshot too a 7'6" would probably be ideal.
  21. Frog or senko/jig/weightless swimbait in heavy cover.
