  1. I agree with you on this one. 2000-2012 was the golden age of reels, from the curado e to the steez. And rods are getting better and better, the shimano/jackall offerings are of particular interest to me now.
  2. High end nylon. Sunline defier is one of the best lines on the market for cast ability.
  3. $550 for an Aldebaran/ adrena combo at jpls is definitely tempting though.
  4. Saw the adrena at japan lure shop for $270. Great deal unfortunately they don't have any of the models I'm looking for
  5. He might be talking about the zodias.
  6. What's your preferred price range?
  7. EXACTLY what I was thinking. That would be an amazing combo. Thinking about getting the 6'10" mh with hg Aldebaran for jigs and plastics. Yes, they are. Very light and balanced, and the reel seat is the most comfortable I've held. Would still like to see a response from someone who has some experience with one on the water.
  8. Which fish do you think are easier to catch?
  9. I don't hear this rod mentioned much on this forum. What do you guys think of it? I held it in the store and it felt great. Really considering buying one next TW sale.
  10. Yep same here. Almost as much as popmax's Lol
  11. Reel for me. Even though I usually spend more on the rod
  12. Tournament pro no doubt. IMO it's more like smoke or Exo vs tp.
  13. Package came from the tackle trap today. 845c e6x and a few topwaters. Looking forward to pairing it with curado I and trying it out tomorrow!
  14. Bump. Camping there this Friday.
  15. Made the mistake of watching the vevo music video. I don't think I can get that image out of my head. LMFAO!
  16. X3. Only bass fishing book you really need
  17. Blood knot. It's easy to tie and I haven't had any problems yet.
  18. I have a few spools of 6 and 8 lb test sniper, I'm gonna throw the 8 lb on and hope it doesn't break. Thanks for the replies guys!
  19. Haven't used tatsu or shooter but i love sniper and see no reason to change. Only other fluoro I've tried is red label, sniper was a nice upgrade and I haven't tried anything else since.
  20. Ordered the same model from the tackle trap last Friday. Looking forward to trying it out next weekend! Probably going to pair it with a curado i.
  21. Also this will be on a spinning combo (phenix m1 7'2" med + symetre 2500).
  22. What is the lightest # test fluoro you'd throw a finesse football jig (in particular, dirty jigs finesse football 1/4 and 3/8 ounce) on? Thanks
  23. I would definitely add more hardbaits like crankbaits and topwaters.
