I want to buy a new swimbait rod for huddlestons and ms slammers and occasionally spro bbz1 rated up to 8 oz lure weight. My price range is $200-$300. The new megabass orochi xx leviathan looks good and the dobyns champion and g loomis mossyback at the upper end of that range. Which rod is best for huddlestons?
D&M baits makes the best chatterbait. The megabass chatterbait that's coming out soon looks great too. Curly tail grubs and small swimbaits are good trailers.
Does anyone know anything about surf perch fishing in california? What are the best beaches on the central coast to fish from? Id rather fish for bass but my mom loves the beach;)
Squarebills. Another one of my favorites (that gets snagged a lot less) in timber is a soft jerkbait like a yamamoto d-shad or top shelf schooling minnow.
I need help choosing between the megabass orochi F3 611xxs dropshot rod and the g loomis dsr822s for my new dropshot rod. I like g loomis because they're made in USA and the warranty, but I've heard very good things about the megabass. They're both the same price. Which is the better rod?
I know theres a $50 difference but ive heard very good things about the team gold. It will be for dropshots, shakyheads, and darterheads. Paired with a g loomis DRS822s or st croix avid. What reel is better for the $$?
I have some questions about the DSR822s. Does this rod have a hook keeper? I don't see one in the tackle warehouse photos. Also would the DSR820c be a good choice? It's on sale at TW for $200. I don't know if I could get used to dropshot ting on a casting rod though!
