  1. Sounds like the Calcutta is the way to go. Which size would you prefer for 1-6 ounce baits on the new MB Orochi XX Leviathan: 300 or 400?
  2. I buy from Tackle Warehouse and a couple other local "mom and pop " shops. TW is the only major retailer I buy from.
  3. What is the best 300 or 400 size round reel for around $300-$350? Ideally I don't want to spend much more than $300, $350 at the most. Any suggestions? (This will be for huddlestons and glide baits up to 5 ounces)
  4. Which lake do you guys think the next world-record largemouth is going to be caught out of? Why?
  5. Rods: Phenix, Dobyns Reels: Shimano, Lews Line: Sunline Lures: Strike King hardbaits, Roboworm plastics, Owner hooks, Dirty Jigs
  6. Spro Little John DD's and SK 6xd's
  7. Does anyone else do troll crankbaits or anything for that matter for bass? It seems to work for me, I can get deep cranks down 25+ feet and always seems to catch fish under tough conditions. What are your thoughts on this?
  8. Yep I love matching colors! The coolest combination I've found is a dirty jigs blackendblue with a roboworm kickin craw black grape trailer. They match perfect! They don't have to match though.
  9. Kind of a random topic, but I'm just curious:). If you could live anywhere in California which city/town would you choose with great bass fishing and a good mix of lakes in the area? What is your favorite lake in California? I'm not moving anywhere (at least for a few more years) but like I said I'm just wondering.
  10. Got some of these too...
  11. My brother got a treble hook in his finger past the barb while landing a smallie. We had to rip it out with pliers (ouch). Here's his best smallmouth of the day (with my friend holding it for him lol).
  12. Got some smallmouth and largemouth this weekend at lake lopez fishing out of my friends boat. Nothing huge, a couple 2.5 lb smallmouth and some dink largemouth. Caught most of them deep cranking.
  13. My favorite squarebill is the spro little john 1/2 ounce. I recently bought a 1 ounce DD with flat sides and I'm excited to try it out this weekend. I think the spros are worth the extra $ just because of how durable they are. I've never had the computer chip lip crack and the finish is super durable. One time I made a bad cast too a dock and it smashed into the metal dock I thought it would be ruined but the paint wasn't even chipped! The colors are cool too.
  14. Found a 10xd, jig, rapala fat rap, and 1 ounce rattletrap. Nothing special. The 10xd is nice though. Only a couple scratches brand new owner hooks and split rings.
  15. Yep I always convince myself when I'm ordering that I need to go over $50 to get the free shipping.
  16. Ill be making a Black Friday order from TW. I need more roboworms and jigs. Jigs are hard because you lose so dang many!;( Ill probably pick up a abu revo premier too. Can't beat it for $150 with the sales.
  17. I don't know if many of you have used this worm but I have a question for anybody who uses 13+ inch worms. I ended up buying a pack of these (13 inch) and 4/0 roboworm rebarb hooks because that was what was recommended for the bait on the TW description. The worm seems too big for the hook. I'm just worried about the hook-up ratio. What do you guys think about this?
  18. Phenix m1 7 ft 2 medium x-fast is my favorite spinning rod under $200 (that I own).
  19. I'd add that dipping the tail in boiling water for 20 seconds and straightening the tail and separating the legs makes the toads work better as a buzz bait. Like most zoom products, they come deformed in the package. Separating the legs so the tips are barely touching will make it buzz better and catch more fish.
  20. It's not too bad. I'm actually pretty excited to try them!
  21. What did I just get myself into?! These worms are frickin huge!
  22. In winter, I'm usually throwing a dropshot or shakeyhead with roboworms.
