  1. I usually thread them on at the lake because if I store jigs with the trailers on the trailer always seems to get defected in my Plano boxes. The flappers or pinchers will get bent I'm not sure if it really makes a difference in the water just a confidence thing I guess.
  2. Thanks for the post. Sounds like a lot of work, but worth it.
  3. I definitely like the looks of that forged handle and drag star on the conquest. Looks like a really nice reel.
  4. I immediately thought of Matt Allen's video when I saw this topic, but I would guess the okuma guide select 7'6" medium heavy would work well for those. Most heavy flipping sticks work for the 120 and 168.
  5. What new rods, reels, and line would you like to see from different manufactures? I think 30 lb sunline defier would be at the top of my list. I don't know of any high-end monos in that lb test range. I know a lot of you would love to see a new shimano 50. I think that would be great. What new products would you like to see?
  6. What lake do you think the Colorado state record largemouth will be caught out of? I love fishing in colorado, last time I was there my brother caught a 6 lber at echo lake, pretty big for Colorado. I know the last state record was caught there in '97, do you think it holds another one?
  7. Best answer right there.
  8. Thanks for the detailed post. Those are beautiful reels! Love the side plate on the conquest.
  9. Yep. Rain wasn't all it was cracked up to be though at least here in Los Alamos. Hopefully more next week...
  10. One more question before I buy guys. I've narrowed it down to the JDM Calcutta D and the and the JDM 2000 Calcutta conquest. I really don't want to spend any more than $430. Is the JDM Conquest (2001-2014) the same reel as the Calcutta te?
  11. Ok that makes more sense lol. I figured it out from the favorite pair thread.
  12. I use owner Mosquitos as well, except I like #4,#2, and #1 sizes for dropshotting. I like 1/0-2/0 for wacky-rigging.
  13. Ok thanks I'd like to start using pork. What you said about the bass not wanting to eat the claws makes sense.
  14. Nice fish! That's amazing. Yesterday? I thought the bass fishing was supposed to be over for winter where you live lol.
  15. Tom, do you make your own pork trailers? Do you just buy pork from the grocery store?
  16. Strike king crankbaits. I know Ike and jared lintner use them (to name a couple) and they're not even sponsored! Ive even heard aaron martens talk about them. Definitely one of the better buys in hardbaits.
  17. Definitely the zillion. Probably the best reel at tackle warehouse right now under $250. Very well built reel super dependable. Important if he's only getting one reel for everything.
  18. Sand hollow and powell are easily the best fishing in utah. I heard owl creek is pretty good too though. Haven't been there yet.
  19. Isn't the vernal area pretty good fishing? I heard flaming gorge and pelican lake are good. I guess that's still pretty far away from u though.
  20. Weather says we could get at least 4 inches here in California. Hopefully well come out of the drought soon!
  21. I watched those vlogs I was wondering what those reels were!
  22. Decent? They're the best jerkbaits on the market! Just teasing hehe
  23. One more thing: do you know of any good pork trailers available? Where do you get yours from now?
