Hey everyone. I was out fishing today at a small lake and its the first time I've fished this lake from a boat. My question is, what would you guys throw or what technique would you use in the lake where the lake bed is basically all vegetation? I didn't cover a huge amount of water today but what I did cover all I could see was vegetation. The only thing I threw today was a spinner bait for a few hours this afternoon. Got 2 small bass about 1/2 pound and a six inch perch. I always start with spinner baits because they are my confidence bait but also im hugely inexperienced using anything else. I have crank baits and soft plastics but don't really know how to fish them in so much vegetation. I'm also fishing from a inflatable boat and can't stand up so that limits me a bit on techniques too. Oh and the vegetation is pretty much bottom to top. I don't think it gets much deeper than maybe 15 feet I've heard and where I was fishing I'd say was around 6 feet.

Update. Just in case anyone else runs into this problem. Since the nearest wal mart is 2 hours from where I live and I didn't wanna wait for something to come in the mail I went to the hardware store and looked through the super glues and found the loctite go2 glue. I have the boat inflated and it seems to be holding air. I did the soapy water test and seen no bubbles. The glue is apparently water, shock and heat resistant. So hopefully Monday or Tuesday goes without a hitch.

Thanks guys. I cut some penny size patches out of my air mattress and glued them down last night so hopefully by tonight they will be solid enough to go fishing tomorrow.

Will super glue work for patching a small hole in an inflatable boat? I found 3 very small holes in mine from one of my cats dang claws lol. I have an old air mattress I cut patches out of and I'm trying rubber cement right now but I hate having to wait 24 hours.

Im not much for adventures but i do love to think of all the unexplored parts of the world and there are loads of unproven theories that i love reading about. Do you have any idea how much of the inside of the earth is unexplored? there are loads of massive, gigantic, huge cave systems that have yet to be mapped. Get into rock climbing and there are tons of adventures there just waiting to happen. There are even some cave systems that no one is allowed to enter or explore, kinda a bummer really.

I kinda agree with the news. Cell phones and gadgetry are becoming a big problem today. It can hurt as much as it can help. It is only going to get worse with the next generations of kids. I have worked at a couple gas stations and cant tell you how many times a customer walks up to the counter talking or texting and barely tells you what they want. Just drives me nuts, wanna choke a person lol.

Spinner Baits work real well for me. Just get few few basic colors to start.
