  1. Sounds like a great idea to me. I'm strictly a bank fisherman and sometimes my friends call me up in a hurry, I always got a backpack packed.
  2. ICAST most innovative bait of 2015? Thanks for the tips guys I'll keep yall posted!
  3. Near where I live in the middle of the city there is a very small sewage and street run off fed creek not more than 15ft wide and 3ft deep in most places in addition to being lined with trash and being polluted by raw sewage from broken pipes. As far as I know me and my friends are the only ones who fish this. We normally go to this place when we don't have any where else to go and usually just catch little sunfish, but occasionally a small bass (.25-.75lb if that)on the little jigs we use for the sunfish. Main food source for any in there is frogs, crawfish, and baby bluegill I guess. I'm looking into something that could actually consistently produce bass. It seems the population is steadily growing as we were catching more and more all the time. There isn't a great bite yet and I'm planning to try a small jerkbait and maybe a small topwater frog. Anyone have any advice? I'm open to absolutely anything so any advice is appreciated.
  4. I have no experience with any of these but I would recommend St. Croix Mojo Bass rod, I have one 7' MH and its working out very nicely. I'm also going to pick up a *** Black fairly soon.
  5. Awesome, thank you! And same with me, little luck on them and I normally switch to a spinner but lately I've been attempting to use some chatter baits and its done alright.
  6. Thanks everyone, I normally never throw anything over half an ounce, if that. I do not own a boat so its rare for me to get into the deeper water. I really am trying to expand my horizons and I appreciate the advice, I'm leaning towards a medium at the moment because I don't use very heavy lures and my MH seems to be alright for frogging at the moment.
  7. I currently own a Quantum Catalyst 7.0:1, on a Mojo Bass 7' MH rod. I'm looking to get another bait casting setup. I like MH, I do not have the money to buy rods for specific uses but to cover more lures and rigs, would another MH be a good idea? I'm not sure if M has enough backbone and H is too much. I fish a lot of jigs, frogs, and texas rigs. I would most likely throw 40 lb powerpro spectra braid on the reel. Any advice is appreciated, I'm semi-new to bass fishing.
