Ping Jockey

Howdy fellas. If any here has ever catfished, y'all will know what I mean by blood bait. My brother's a butcher and we got to talking... would dipping a lure in pigs blood work for general game fish such as pike and bass? Both of us only ever catfished with blood cuz thats a tried n true favorite amongst many of us catfisherman. Lots of baits today emphasize the "bleedin" concept. Would it be good to use it with soft swimmers or worms? What are your thoughts on this? - Rog

Evening friends- well Id say near bout 90% of the time I throw out worms. In my mind, these gotta be the best baits. But Ive been meanin to try out these here Soft Plastic Swimmers that my nephew provided. They are Plastic like worms- not sure what brand they were. (Sorry all dont know how to post a photograph on the web site!!!!) http://i.imgur.com/0sdHUYe.jpg How would i go about using this type of thing? And how to attach a hook for somethin like this? Ive been doin' it for over 40 years! Every since my old man took me out there near the stream that ran near-by my house. Boy we used to fly fish down stream but when it was pourin buckets on a Saturday we would still go right down there and catch us some panfish and what-not & we did this like clock-work! Heck I betya I caught d**n near equal to the amt of fish I got during the pleasant hours! I mostly used live worms and threw em into spots where the rain wasnt beating so hard! We had some cover. Now if you dont I still say you can throw some nice spinning lures out there and make sure there dark! The stories I could tell.. But you want me to keep it short- yes you can most definiately get yourself some nice fish in the rain so long as the river ain't actin' up and the wind's playing nice! Take care! - Rog

Evenin' y'all. Today I went and picked me up one of them 3/8 oz arbogast poppers, never tried a popper before so i decided to giver a shot. Im mostly castin into clear water, would y'all recommend I use my spinning with 10 lb test mono or baitcast with 12 lb test mono for this here particular lure? Lookin' for some expertise/experience!
