  1. Thank you Chris! I will NOT be on the motorcycle this year. I will tell the whole sordid story about last year's trip home. You won't want to miss it. LOL
  2. I would gladly take you up on your gracious offer. My little boat is getting a total makeover this year. This will be a great help. Ronnie
  3. Just to be clear, you can still sign up after tomorrow. Cabins will no longer be guaranteed, but you can still find accomodations and are welcome to make the trip. If you need help or have any questions send me or Long Mike a PM. So let's go! Get signed up! NO EXCUSES! Ronnie
  4. OK! It's a party now! Carl's coming. Can't wait to see you sir!
  5. If anyone is in contact with her (Kyakr), please let her know that I am trying to track her down. I have the information that she asked for.
  6. Why can't I see the videos? I see the opening picture and when I click on the play button, it takes me instantly to the end of the video. Anyone know what's up with this?
  7. Actually it was Mike I'm picking on. LOL
  8. I think you are being a little hard on my buddy Mike here. You need to lighten up a little.....
  9. OK, you've twisted my arm. I'm in! Looking forward to this trip! Ronnie
  10. Hey, I didn't treat you too bad last year.....but, there's always this year's trip!
  11. That's because Glen appointed you the official "Grammar Nazi" of BassResource. I think you both do an awesome job.
  12. Well, that's a dissappointment for the RT, but congrats on the grandbaby!
  13. Well, This certainly great news! Awesome!
  14. This is one of the frustrations of planning and organizing the trip. A lot members will wait until the last minute to sign up and it makes it difficult to best use our resources. It makes it easier to make sure you have a bed and boat if you get signed up early. I will always encourage all members to get signed up as soon as you possibly can. It makes the trip better for everyone. Ronnie
  15. We are currently doing the homework on airports and ground transportation. I will post in this thread what we find to be the best airport and how we might arrange carpooling for air travelers. It is best for you to arrange your own roomates if you can. As the time gets near, we will be better able to fill empty spots in cabins. Please advertise in this thread if you need roomates and when you get four members, reserve a cabin. This will make it much easier for your humble coordinators. Stay tuned to this thread for any new info that becomes available. The registration form will be posted soon, so get it returned as soon asyou can. Ronnie
  16. If you have any questions or need any help with the "Road Trip", send me a PM and I will try to help you. Ronnie
  17. I can say I knew him back before he was "Superbassman". GREAT Show, that looks like an awesome time....
  18. Don't remeber the first, but it was probably wading under the highway bridge on the Tangipahoa river in Robert, LA. 1980 or so. I loves me some jigs! Ronnie
  19. I use the Plano 3600 and 3700 boxes for jigs....
  20. I have stayed on an area that I know has fish all day. It usually pays off.
  21. You guys don't know that years ago Wayne bought this big rubber bass with a flexible wire frame and pockets you can put water in to change the size. He's been taking pictures of himself and that rubber fish for years. LOL
  22. My green is 10lb and my white is 12lb. That's how I remember which one is which. LOL Ronnie
  23. We kind of go through this every year. All of the East coast guys want to go to Erie, Champlain, Lake George, etc. and the FL guys want to go to Okachhobie, Stick Marsh, etc. I would love it if the Road trip were in my back yard, so I would be all over a trip in the NE somewhere. The fact of the matter is, we have members coming form both coasts and everywhere in between. So the fair thing to do is what we have been doing. The TN River chain of lakes is a world class fishery and is centrally located so everyone has a chance to attend from all over the country. I have never traveled less than a 1000 miles to attend a road trip and have only missed one, but if I had to travel to CA (obviously some big bass there) it would be out of reach. I rode my motorcycle 2300 miles (round trip) this year because I couldn't afford the fuel for the BassBus and it worked out OK. Also, most of us can fish our local waters any time we want, so the RT is an opportunity to try some new water. As much as I want everyone to come to MY place for dinner and fish in MY lake, I know it's not fair to those on the West side of the country to insist on it. I think we can look forward to meeting and fishing in the central part of the country. I caught more fish on this last RT than on any other and it keeps getting better. Just don't be disappointed if it's not in your home state. Lastly, start making your plans now for next year. Find or bring some buddies to help with the travel & lodging expenses. Plan some of your vacation time. You won't regret it. IMHO. See you next year! 2014 NO EXCUSES! Ronnie
