  6. Just can't seem to get my head around Rap, but I love almost everything else. My very favorites are, in no particular order... 60s Folk/Rock (Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Crosby Stills & others,) 60s Southern Rock (Allman Bros., Wet Willie, etc.) Classic & Jazz Guitarists (Segovia, Lorimar, Al DiMeola, Paco Delucia, Leo Kotke, & a bunch more) Classic Rock & Roll (Zepplin, Stones, Free, 10 Years After, Clapton, etc.) Motown (wayyy too many to list) This hard cause I like it all. Ronnie
  7. I think it's most important to be accurate and confident. When I get a new reel, I start with all the brakes on and try to work toward turning them all off. I think brakes are great for reducing backlash but they also hinder the performance of the reel. I probably get more overruns than I should, but I also feel I get all the performance out of the reel. Besides, I have caught a few nice fish while picking out a backlash. Turn them off one at a time and see where it becomes difficult to cast and turn it back on. You are the only one who can find what you are comfortable with. Experiment and have fun! Ronnie
  8. I have tried to make a commitment to the following.... Tackle - If it's not in my box, no opinion, only questions Rod/reels/lines - If I never owned/fished it, no opinion, only questions Techniques - If I am not real good at it, I am limited to questions only Boats/Lakes/Girls/Elephant breeding, etc. - It's OK if I am ignorant about it. I am thankful for the REAL experts in these areas. I hope this is a positive response. Ronnie
  9. Still Muddy after all these years! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOMINICK! Ronnie
  10. Looks like an awesome trip. I was there about 30 years ago. LOL I've been meaning to ask about your guitar. What do you play? I played for many years, a classical guitar major in college and recorded an album in the 70s (it's vinyl, that's how we did it in the old days). The last guitar I owned was a 1975 D28 Martin (maybe the sweetest dreadnought on the planet). I sold it a few years ago. Arthritis took my hands and I can't play anymore, but I have some wonderful memories of performing and jamming with friends. Ronnie

  13. Disclaimer - This is not a religious post, just some great, practical advice from the bible....... "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." Phillipians 2: 3 & 4 Ronnie
  14. i do have to agree with that. belichek should have given credit to the giants defense, they worked his o-line hard all game and it showed in the final score. of course his undefeated team just got defeated, i'm sure he had a LOT to say in the locker room! I thought his walking off the field while his team was still lined up for the last play was pretty sad. Kind of pouted like a little kid that didn't get his way. :-/ Ronnie
