  1. Try bouncing a spinnerbait across the rocks. You will likely sacrifice a couple of baits due to snags, but this can be very productive. Ronnie
  2. It's not an FI, it is an Aero. Still a very sweet reel. Let ma know if you are interested. Ronnie
  3. If you are interested, I have a Shimano Stradic 4000, in perfect condition that I would sell for $75 or trade for a 1000 or 2500 size spinning reel of like value. Ronnie
  4. Big Game is the only mono I use. It is inexpensive and performs well. Try it Chris, you will like it. Ronnie
  5. Look at it from another perspective, our kids will compete with his kind in the marketplace of life. It almost becomes comforting when you think about it. Ronnie
  6. Zoom finesse worm with a small nail weight. Fish it slowly, no, even slower, nope, even slower than that. Ronnie
  7. Congratulations!!! Ronnie
  8. I agree, it would be a 4+ mile run to get to the lake from the nearest ramp. Not fishing for food. Ronnie
  9. I use a Q-tip with a little acetone or lacquer thinner. It cleans all the rust out. JMHE Ronnie
  10. Well, I just want to say thanks to "Misty Harbor" boats, "Shimano" reels and "G.Loomis" rods for helping me cast those "Culprit" worms and "Arkie" jigs which are tied to my "Yo Zuri" line with a "Tie Fast" knot tyer and BassResource.com for my fishing experience. I'm jus sayin......... Ronnie
  11. I believe God made tubes for skipping under docks and low overhangs. The ultimate skipping bait. JMHO Ronnie
  12. If you are going to organize your tackle in plano/falcon type boxes, these work great and they only cost $13 at BPS or Cabellas. JMHO..... Ronnie
  13. This winter seems to be wayyy colder than I originally thought..... :-? Ronnie
  14. Calling yourself a "referee" won't always keep you from getting your butt kicked. I'm just sayin..... Ronnie
  15. You have to sharpen serrated blades with a ceramic stick sharpener. The Chefschoice sharpeners do a good job of sharpening pocket and utility knives, but they can scratch up really nice knives. This is what I use on my high end kitchen knives and paying customers, but it's expensive. http://www.truhone.com/store/pc/viewContent.asp?idpage=2&gclid=COzIlv_2j6cCFeR65QodYmE9dg Ronne
  16. Sounds like a reasonable explanation to me!~I have been trying to improve my "Raitorigu aggressive" technique for some time now. Maybe I need this rod. :-? Ronnie
  17. Johnson's "silver minnow spoon" with a chunk type trailer can be deadly. Ronnie
  18. Without a doubt! Ronnie
  19. Hey Chris, I hope you don't think I'm disagreeing with you. If it don't look right it probably ain't right. What I love about the fast tie tool is you have to work to get it wrong. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my fingers point toward my elbows. I have no trouble tying the knots with the tool. What I love MOST is I have also repeatedly tested the double nail knot by forcibly pulling until something breaks. The weaker line breaks. The knot doesn't break. I have no interest in the little tool except good knots and I am sure there are others that work as well. Just trying to pass along something that has worked very well for me. Not many things do so anymore. JMHO Ronnie
  20. This is why for leader connections I always recommend the opposing nail knots. It's harder to tie, I use a tool to do it, but comes out perfect and is as strong or stronger than any knot. Especially if the line diameters are different. Ronnie
  21. I Couldn't have said it better. 8-)
  22. ^ What he said....
  23. It's not really very hard. If you feed him on a regular schedule, wait 20 minutes after he eats, get him a book or a toy and set him on the potty. Don't let him up until he goes. He will quickly figure out that the sooner he goes, the sooner he gets off the pot. He will also figure out the eating/potty connection. This will require a little effort on your part, but should only take a day or two for him to get it. Talk to him and repeat over and over, "if you go potty, you can go back to cartoons or whatever he was doing. Consistency is the key. BTW, if you bribe him to go to the potty, you will likely wind up bribing him for everything. That is a bad pattern to develop. JMHO Ronnie
  24. I am a land surveyor and most of my survey equipment was delivered in a Pelican case of some sort. The only other Pelican I have bought is to store my DSLR and several lenses. The only thing that makes the pelican case better than ziplock, padded, etc. is you can stack heavy stuff on them. I like being able to throw the lawn chairs and suitcases right on top of my camera case without worrying about damage. Also if I forget and leave it in a hot car too long I don't have to worry about heat damage. JMHO Ronnie
  25. 50 and 65 lb braid on baitcasters, small as you want on spinning reels. JMHO Ronnie
