  1. Still working perfectly. Love it.
  2. That exact same thing happened to someone I know too, but both reels were shimanos... Now he uses Abu. Ha
  3. Pro qualifier is hands down a better quality reel. You can not beat them for the price
  4. ... Is that a yes because some of the best pros in the world use them?
  5. Broken an Abu, BPS, Carrot, Fenwick... All replaced from the companies and they were all great to deal with. Shimano has a great warranty over the counter but I don't think I have known a single person that has owned a rod without it snapping.... Most have many many times. .. They need that warranty to keep the customers happy. Kistler was by far the worst experience ever. Always got the run around and they wouldn't help out at all. I would never buy another energy of their rods ever.
  6. It's designed to get fisherman to buy it and take market share away from Yamamoto... Like every stick bait
  7. The thing about buying reels on eBay vs an actual dealer is there technically probably is no warranty because it was not purchased from an authorized dealer.
  8. The Johnny's have probably sold more over time. JM reels have been around for a long time before the pro qualifier, plus there's been lots of special editions
  9. Umm well Shimano bought GLoomis in 1997. But I heard Jackall the other day
  10. Anyone hear this yet?
  11. It has to do with all the equipment and boat companies. The Classic is a huge show for them to debut new products and advertise for the year. Icast is in July, so they would have anything new to show if the Classic was also in the summer. New stuff usually comes out at one or the other.
  12. I don't make a lot of money but I do ok. I love fishing, and I might get out once a week. I feel using Lucky Craft lures and other high end lures catch me more fish. I'd rather spend $15 on a pointer and catch 10 fish then spend 6 on a Rapala and catch one fish... If I only get to go so often. There's no doubt the high end lures catch more. Look at the lucky craft crank baits, by far the best out there. You see KVD throwing $30 megabass jerk baits on tv... But he is sponsored by strike king... Because they catch him more fish. To each his own. I'd also rather buy a Sierra Nevada than a PBR when I go to a bar .. Because its better
  13. I fished with my new Revo MGX and JM carbonlite both for the first time today. The JM definitely casted better than the MGX but was a tad noisier. Only time will tell on the longevity of the two, but my initial impression on using them both a lot was that, I see no reason to buy an MGX when the JM carbonlite is only $130
  14. Ive always said that the best way to see what products are really good is to see what one of the pros uses when they dont have a sponsor.
  15. I have Spro, River2sea, Koppers etc.... but I like the BPS Kermy. It's Cheap, really soft and works. I actually had a better hook up: Blow up ratio on it than any other frog. Nothing could be worse than the Tru-Tungsten frog... but we dont have to worry about those any more.
  16. You can't beat the Pro Qualifier for the money
  17. I used this reel the other day.... I must say the description is pretty true. It's really hard to backlash. I could cast it a MILE too. I wish they put this into a higher end reel with an aluminum frame and a smaller and lighter design. But this is legit, it's a really good brake system.
  18. ...well... It's already discontinued and on clearance...
  19. Why don't you just take 2 minutes and call them and tell them they are sending you multiple Catalogs and to only send one. Now that would be the right thing to do if you care about the environment.... Which you should if you are a fisherman.
  20. I really like the tournament reel. It's kind of a combination pro qualifier and carbonlite. Great reel
  21. You don't send The rod to the manufacture with that gear guard, you just call a number if you break a rod and they send you a gift card for what you paid for it
  22. For some reason Wally Diver's in gold with an Orange top of the body have been working great on Lake Kerr.
  23. I've used Kermy and I like it a lot. The hook is really good, its the same hook Tru-Tungsten uses. The bodies are soft. I actually went 4/4 on Kermy on blow ups.. which i've never done with any other frog. The price is great, if they come out with more colors I don't see myself spending the extra money on a spro.
  24. Having used both, the Carbonlites are certainly more sensitive, a lot lighter, and better balanced. Mojo's have a better warranty
  25. some other their current baits still smell like old powerbait. Its strange. Also all of the watermelon color baits smell different than the other colors
