  3. Mouth of the Merrimack River in Newburyport.
  4. Hey guys, just throwing it out there...anyone interested here fishing the NH B.A.S.S. Nation Open tournaments with me this year? I have a 1999 Nitro Z-7 with a 125 HP on it. Take a look at their website and look at the Open dates and see if you can make them. Shoot me a email: brian.gaudette@hotmail.com Thanks Brian
  5. Yes you can bring your own trolling motor and use it with their boats.
  6. Did ok today. Caught 5 fish total. Biggest one jumped off right in front of me. They loved the Senko worm today.
  7. Anyone ever fish Millpond in Maynard MA? I am looking to see how deep it is but cant find the info anywhere. Heard there are nice bass in that place.
  8. I actually rent their boats all the time. They are not that bad. Have caught a ton of smallmouth from those little boats. I have a Nitro as well with a 125 on it. It is a pain bringing a bigger boat when you have to be on the trolling motor the whole time. With their boats I use a drift sock, use the anchor and troll. Ya I love Newfound. Grew up there my whole life. My parents sold our cottage last year. Such a bummer. I learned how to fish on that lake.
  9. Hitting up the Quabbin Tuesday 5/27 if anyone wants to join me. Smallmouth and hitting like crazy. I will probably be there between 6-7am. Let me know if you can make it.
  10. What pond or lake in So Carver MA if I may ask?
  11. Did pretty well today at the Quabbin. Caught a bunch of smallmouth bass. Did not catch one lake trout. We fished for hours for lake trout and did not see or get one bite. Fished between 15-30 feet. Went up even more shallow and still no lakers. Plenty of smallmouth though. They love the Rapala X-Rap Hot Steel.
  12. Great news. Thanks for the report.
  13. Oh ya I have fished there for many years. First time out this year. Really looking forward too it.
  14. If I could only name 2 I would say tubes and grubs. They never let me down.
  15. Getting excited to head out Friday all day to a place in MA called the Quabbin Reservoir. Amazing fishing. Biggest body of water in MA and a ton of great smallmouth and largemouth.
  16. Now that spring is here in New England I should be every weekend.
  17. You tick those fish off and they will bite...trust me
  18. I have been a member of B.A.S.S. since 1996. I have collected every magazine they have put out since then. I have seen no decline and still follow all their shows on tv as well. B.A.S.S. is in good shape. Many anglers fish many other tournaments these days.
  19. How has the fishing been out here this week? Any reports?
  20. Anyone fishing any of the lakes region lakes yet?
  21. I have fished the Quabbin for many years. Great body of water. Looking to be out there next Friday 5/16 & Saturday 5/17 if anyone wants to join me.
  22. Thanks for the welcome guys. I owned a Nitro bass boat a few years back before I moved to California but had to sell it in 2010 when we moved. I am going tomorrow to look at another 1999 Nitro Bass boat. Hope it works out. If not I am looking forward to fishing lakes and ponds around the Pepperell MA area and NH area soon. As well as the Quabbin which I love fishing.
  23. Hey guys and gals. Saying hello from Pepperell MA (about an hour outside from Boston MA). I have been fishing my whole life. Grew up on Newfound Lake in NH every weekend since I was 2 weeks old (I am 32 now). I have fished all over New England. As well as many other states. The lakes region in NH is amazing. So as you can see I am new to this site and looking forward to sharing stories about our one true passion.
  24. Hi guys, new to the boards. Name is Brian. 32 year old male. Been fishing my whole life. Just moved back to MA from California. I currently live in Pepperell MA. I love to fish (as most of us do). I grew up fishing the lakes region. My parents use to own a house on Newfound lake. I know that lake like the back of my hand. Same with Winni, Squam, Winnisquam and a few others. I have fished all over New England and then some. Love smallmouth bass but I am up for catching many other types of fish. Just wanted to say hello. If anyone is ever looking to fish around my area let me know.
