  1. Hello, Everyone! My name is Brandon and I have been fishing and hunting since I can remember. Favorite type of fish to fish for are Largemouth. I just bought a Pelican Bass Raider 8 to get myself off of the bank. I used to fish tournaments when I was younger with my dad and grandpa, and I'm hoping I can work my way into a real bass boat to be able to do that again. If anyone wants to hit some spots around the DFW area let me know! Me and a couple buddies like to hit up the local golf course ponds and other public places during the week. Brandon
  2. Well I'm 210 lbs. I'm sure I can get me and a buddy in their or my fiancé. I have a local soil conservation reservoir that I plan on fishing that I have seen a few people with kayaks or small bass buster type boats fishing. More than half of the pond you can't get too from the bank and the spots you can get to have grass that comes at least a cast away from the bank, so it's really hard to fish. I'll let you guys know if we can figure out how to fish it with two in the boat. I think my next move is to add a wood/carpet floor or deck on the bottom of the boat. Should help stabilize things.
  3. Hello, All! I'm a new member here. I have been looking for a Bass Raider/Buster type of boat for a few weeks now and found this site in the process. I bought a Pelican Bass Raider 8 at academy on sale for $279 on Sunday. I have been looking through this thread and seeing all of your mods and it has given me plenty of ideas for mine. I have already put a Lowrance Mark 5 Pro depth finder, Motorguide 30lb trolling motor, and battery with battery box on mine. Planning to take her out on Saturday down here in north Texas. I look forward to seeing everyone's transformations on their BR and I'll be happy to show the progress with mine. First question, what do you veterans think about having 2 people in the BR 8? Too small? Pushing the weight limit? I appreciate all of the help! Thanks, Brandon
