  1. If you do some research I'm sure you can find a great setup for that much, In that price range there are tons of good options.
  2. I love cranking with braid because it is on another level of sensitivity, you can feel everything! it is awesome when you can feel the slightest bit of grass on your lure, not to mention the thin diameter of braid while still having great strength.

  4. The lake I fish is shallow and packed with stumps. I've seen people go out there with 200HP motors and completely wreck them because they tried to fly through the lake. If someone tells me they haven't fished there before the first thing I tell them is to watch for stumps.
  5. This year has been good, I've learned more this year than every year before and have caught good fish.
  6. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/143924-how-to-post-a-picture-pics/#entry1603486 get that picture up! Congrats on the PB!
  7. I do all my cranking with braid and love it! Tried mono and FC and went right back to braid.
  8. Might have to try some of these out!
  9. Buzzbaits and lipless cranks!
  10. I agree...
  11. I kept telling myself the first 5lb bass I catch is getting mounted, someone dropped it off at the taxidermist yesterday morning. I hope it turns out good!! I didn't get to see what condition it was in when being dropped off. She was in the freezer over night I hope it didnt get damaged... I had her wrapped in a trash bag.
  12. I just make sure the bass can easily see what I'm throwing, I don't care so much about specific colors.
  13. I'd love to here stories about y'alls biggest accomplishments in bass fishing! So far mine would have to be when I recently broke 5lb's its been a goal of mine this entire year and I was beyond happy when I finally did it.... I was trying not to tear up! so what is yours?
  14. Where I fish trailer hooks on buzzbaits can be a pain...
  15. Guys if they are foul hooked it isn't official! hahaha
  16. Same, the top water bite is good all year long here for the most part. Poppers are starting to produce for me too.
  17. Lots of variables, could have been many different factors that made them bite other than color. like depth change, type of cover, etc..

  19. Wow those carps are monsters!
  20. I was thinking the same thing! Haha
  21. Nice fish! Break out the lipless!
  22. Braid is way more user friendly when starting out because it can be salvaged after a horrible backlash... FC turns to junk and has to be replaced after being dug and picked out of a backlash. Braid also is very easy to manage and last longer.
  23. This thread pops up every week...
  24. I use the mono trick and it works fine, you can also do the same thing to peg weights with skirt rubber!
  25. I'd like to try some more sibert jigs as well...
