  1. Yeah I agree that everyone's a little different, we gather knowledge and create are our methods
  2. Umm uh, ..., No! Lifetimes movies suck!
  3. I do that some days in the winter/summer, You just wanna catch one and after you finally do it you just wanna get home haha....
  4. I like using straight shank hooks when I'm fishing more vertical like flipping and pitching grass, it seems to really launch the snelled hook into the bass jaw when you set the hook.
  5. I'm really only worried about squarebill crankbaits, Whats your experience using leaders like that with shallow crankbaits?
  6. You could try asking whoever takes care of that lake what species of fish are in it, after multiple emails/phone calls I finally got someone to send me a list of every single fish species in the lake I fish.
  7. Hey guys, I have the problem of fishing a place with a good bit of big pickerel. I lose squarebills to them all the time when fishing braid and its starting to get frustrating, I'm wondering if I switched to a FC leader would it help any or do you think I would lose just as many baits? Another question is would the thicker leader make my bait run noticeably more shallow? I like using braid because its strong and thin and can really help get your baits down further and was wondering if the leader would mess that up. I'm not targeting the Pickerel btw, I just don't want to keep losing lures while targeting bass. I have like one square bill left and I cant keep replacing them
  8. ooooo this is getting good! This is better than those lifetime movies!
  9. The only problem I have fishing un-pegged weights in grass is that the weight will sometimes get on one side of the grass and the bait will be on the other so your bait wont fall properly, it'll kinda just sit there while your weight is falling on the opposite side.
  10. What he said is true IMO. Shore fishermen cant ALWAYS expect as much as a person fishing from a boat. can they do just as good on some days? Of course they can but in a boat if somewhere isn't producing you can just pack up and head to the next spot but when bank fishing your options are limited and not all spots are accessible.
  11. Okay maybe we don't all plan on catching a PB, but wouldn't you be okay with catching one any day of the year? haha
  12. I'm surprised so many peg it in grass when casting, might start pegging my weights more and see what happens...
  13. As long as I'm doing my best and learning more about bass fishing I'm fine...
  14. Ouch, I guess I need to put a longer rope on mine. I was fishing 6 feet of water and with my anchor touching the bottom there was maybe a couple more feet of rope left...
  15. We'll my trolling motor is crappy because my good one got stolen, the slightest bit of grass gets on this one and I have to pull it up and clean it off and there is a lot of grass in this lake, by the time I got it back in the water I would be all up in matted grass because I was fishing the edge of the mats..
  16. Don't dropshot much but caught a good bit using a fat Albert grub from zoom
  17. *2, I like the weight free when casting Texas rigs because it makes the bait have more action IMO
  18. Fishing puts you in your own little world, gotta love it!
  19. Lol it wasn't much of a fight, I was fishing pads and grass with 50lb braid and a tight drag. So I horsed her away from the pads and she jumped once, right into my net!
  20. Yeah, I have a 10lb anchor in the boat I was using in some places, it's too light I need a heavier one because it was still getting drug around haha
  21. Went to a funeral early today and after I decided to head to the lake and fished until sundown, didn't get one fish! Only a few strikes at a top water. The wind was around 15 mph the whole time... I spent just as much time keeping the boat straight as I did fishing haha let's just say my trolling motor skills aren't the best.... Who else has trouble in the wind? I love a little wind to put a chop on the water but after it gets around 10mph or more I start to have trouble.
  22. *2, these are great shakey heads!
  23. Nice fish, pretty pond ya got there
  24. Nice, two good bass!
  25. I set a goal to catch a 5lb bass out of banks lake Georiga and I did that not to long ago, now I guess I just wanna catch another!
