The Tatula can actually throw pretty light stuff... I can throw 1/8 lures a considerable distance with the right rod. I love my tatula and would highly recommend it, I actually like it being big, gives me a lot more to grab onto when I'm using, jigs, punching, frogs, etc...
I'm starting to fish straight braid and I'm still catching fish, I'm getting to where I only use leaders in clear water but I still haven't 100% gotten over the "fish can see my line" logic. I know a lot of people who use leaders so its easy to break off without losing a lot of line like you mentioned.
Oh and like mentioned before not all FC breaks the bank, one spool of segaur or sunline can last me a whole season of leaders....
"Strike King is offering this bait in their pro team paint scheme along with 3D red eyes and premium VMC vanadium cone cut treble hooks."
Taken straight off Tackle warehouses description of the red eye shad.
What about Southern Shallow natural lakes? I fish a natural lake that's 6ft deep on average and I never use electronics to find fish... I just go off trial and error until I start finding them, we don't have many fish eating birds here
I wont take someone I 100% do not know fishing... I have taken people I don't know very well fishing from my school but I've at least introduced myself, know who they are and how they act. I tell them get a fishing license and be at the ramp at X time and we'll go catch em!
I've never had problems with PP super slick 8... I use the SDJ and palomar, I use it everywhere from 10lb to 50lb test and I use it for almost everything....
That's what a straight shank hook is and that black thing is a bait keeper.
I use straight shank hooks when punching because when you set the hook it really launches that hook into the bass's jaw because the hook gets turned 90 degrees when you use a Snell knot.
this is what I mean when I say it launches the hook into the bass's jaw, when you put pressure on the weight it makes the hook turn like this.
That what I'm saying, like Abu is a great company. Ive used many Abu products without problems and I think they are great, but threads like these scare people away from great companies... sure this single product they make might be bad but that doesn't mean they don't make good products.
EDIT: Not saying negative reviews are bad, I just don't like seeing them on bass resource... Dunno lol
I think the opposite way, I like to reel with my strong hand when using bait casters because generally bait casters use heavy line and are more "powerful" when bringing in fish...
I'm Probably in the minority but am I the only one that doesn't really like threads like these...don't really know why, I just think there are better places to put negative reviews on products... kinda silly I geuss...
you cant catch them all, I have had cranking days where it seems like I cant get any bass to the boat... Are you using good sharp hooks? How is the action on that rod? I use braid for cranking and I love it but your setup needs to have alittle give somewhere and because braid has zero stretch you may need a softer rod. I use a M/F for lipless
You can never go wrong when you go right! I prefer to crank with my right hand and work the bait with my left... always how ive done it and don't see any point in changing.
