  1. Welcome to the forums!
  2. Glad your not another news story... I don't wear my PFD nearly enough, especially when I'm alone
  3. Lol I did that the other day to, was buzzing the top with a rage craw and a bass jumped 2 feet out of the water as I was pulling my bait into the boat....
  4. I knew bass resource was going downhill but yeesh, Bluebasser??
  5. I actually enjoy buying tackle haha its fun building your collection! Now for you guys that have 2 of every lure made... Maybe you should set a budget haha
  6. The plastic bit that has a barb is a bait keeper designed to hold your bait I'm place and keep it from sliding on the hook. There is also a dab of glue most company's put on the eye of the hook so your Snell knot doesn't get all messed up.
  7. I haven't been using them long enough to say much, but I'm really liking these Xcalibur squarebills I picked up. They run good, have quality hooks, and are holding up nicely. I have caught some good fish on them, I like them so far.
  8. Went out today and it was a little tough, I guess because of the drop in tempature. It was 45 degrees this morning when I started fishing... Once the tempatures stops jumping up and down the fishing should be great! Caught this guy at the base of a tree but it was weird.... I pitched a 1/2oz jig to the bottom of a tree and saw my line jump and felt the thump, I reel up the slack and set the hook once I felt his weight, but this is the weird part, I hooked him outside the mouth lol don't know how that happened!
  9. Nice! Muskie are one cool fish!
  10. 4 KVD 1.5s with a 1/2oz spinnerbait in the middle.
  11. Glad everything worked out, thanks for posting that. Now go catch some hawgs!
  12. 20 inches... Hmm I say 4-5lbs, so if anyone ask its a 5lber haha!
  13. I agree with the bomber square A, also try the H2O CRS its probably just as durable as the 1.5 but half the price
  14. Did you get any measurments like length and girth? Nice fish!
  15. You can read and watch videos all you want but you ain't gonna get better at fishing unless you go fish.
  16. Same here lol...
  17. Well when I say 1/8 oz I'm mean like a Texas rig with a 1/8oz sinker or a jig and trailer... I have my tatula on a MH/F rod right now rated for 1/4oz to 1oz lures and I can throw weightless flukes a pretty good ways on that setup, and I sometimes put it on a M/F rated for 1/4-3/4oz and I can throw weightless speedcraws a decent ways on that
  18. Great bait, I have a few and they catch good fish!
  19. Yeah I can see a few bagleys, great crank baits!
  20. Looks like an Alabama rig...
  21. Welcome to the forums man! Here's a pretty good article, its worth a read! http://www.bassresource.com/beginner/bass_fishing_overview.html
  22. Well I don't see a lot of birds on the lake (swamp lol). Guess It has no fish... All I see are ducks and these biggish white birds that sometimes fly in huge groups but are usually solo. EDIT: Actually now that I think about it there are a lot of these small black birds, also some osprey and I've seen eagles there... Maybe there are quite a few birds lol
  23. That is amazing... hahahahaha Pure Win... uh no.
