  1. Well you ain't gonna catch a bass sitting on your couch!
  2. I use braid as backing and love it, I also use mono as backing and it works well too
  3. My mistake, but I ain't goin' fix it haha
  4. Nice! That's some good eatin' right there!
  5. That's what you call a "good bowfin lure" lol
  6. Age has nothing to do with how effect a lure, except MAYBE that the bass have seen it a lot and therefore it is less effective. But heck people have been using stuff like spooks since the beginning of time...
  7. Nope, but its not like I can't drop everything and go to the lake some days haha
  8. This thread is pure awesome, incredible catches guys!
  9. The water temperature here has been around 73-75 degrees lately, fishing hasn't been as hot as I hoped but it should be great soon!
  10. Hey Roadwarrior that's one of those sinking braids aint it?? Do you get noticeably more depth with the sinking braid, or is it not much different than normal 30lb braid? Isn't that specific braid like weighted or something to give it that sinking property or is it something else?
  11. You don't have to use light line for cranks. lighter is not always better, with my shallow cranks ill throw them on 15lb test. I normally use 30lb braid though and its pretty thin.
  12. I don't do a whole lot of weightless fishing, I do like to throw stuff like flukes, speed craws, and the occasional Stickbait weightless!
  13. Nice to meet ya!
  14. I've got three or four old Creek Chub injured minnows, I don't know if they are that rare and I know they aren't one of a kind but they are pretty neat lures!
  15. He was claiming that you could not fire the gun in space because of the lack of oxygen, this is a valid way of thinking because obviously a fire can not happen without a supply of oxygen. I said you could because modern ammunition has it's own oxidizer, modern ammunition is made out of charcoal, sulfur, and saltpeter. Because salt peter is rich in oxygen when the firing pin causes the chemical reaction to start it can keep going because the reaction itself releases oxygen. At least that's how I see it, even if that's not the reason why you can I know a bullet can still go off in a vacuum. It's the same reason we can fire bullets underwater, on YouTube there are also plenty of videos of guns being used in vacuum chambers!
  16. Don't you hate it when your in a friendly debate with someone and you 100% without doubt know your right but can't convince the person they are wrong? Haha today my physics teacher was trying to tell me you can't fire a gun in space with modern ammunition and I was telling him you could...
  17. I love my tatula as well, fantastic reel!
  18. And therefore using a 3/8oz weight would make it a Mojolina rig...
  19. Texas/florida rigged soft plastic or a weed less top water!
  20. I'd only use a brace/support as a last resort, I don't like things like that because it makes your body get used to relying on a brace and gets weaker... Not saying braces are bad though, heck I wear knee supports/pads while I wrestle, But if you don't need them then don't use them. I would highly recommend trying other things before jumping to the conclusion that you need a brace/support, and if you do decide that you think you need a brace I would go to the doctor first and get their approval... Treat the cause, not the symptom.
  21. Anytime you start making your muscles/joints do something they aren't used to or more than normal they can get sore... It may or may not get better as they get used to it. Even though you probably will get used to it, if it doesn't go away try doing something that works whatever's sore less... Think about it like this, if your running 5 miles a day and don't get sore at all then increase your miles to 6 miles a day what's going to happen? Your gonna feel it worse because your body isn't used to working that hard. I believe that's what's happened to you, since your fishing more often your body is still adjusting to the new demand.
  22. Nice, It'll be second nature for you before too long!
  23. All my old bantams and reels are just sitting in my top drawer on a pile of socks... Haha
  24. Nice setup!
