  1. You can do it with your hands but like gulfcaptain said split ring pliers don't break the bank and I'd pick a pair up. 2, 4, and 6 are common hook sizes, get on Google and loom your lure up and find a site that list the hook sizes.
  2. Oh yeah I'm still throwing reaction baits, I probably will for awhile... They are still biting lipless cranks well. The two main things I've been fishing lately are a lipless crankbait and swim jig, gonna go out tomorrow and Sunday most likely and see if that's still gonna produce...
  3. There are tons of ways you can rig it... T-rig is a great way!
  4. Lol all the places I fish are shallow and packed full of cover so I can't run around looking for fish on a screen... I just use my knowledge of where the bass will generally be that time of year then find bait fish using other signs or my eyeballs and then get to work!
  5. I have caught alot of bowfin on a senko cut in half dipped in JJ's and put on a 1/16oz jig head, fished on a M/F spinning rod with 10-20lb braid and a optional 8lb leader (usually not nessecary). Haven't really used it for bass, don't see why it wouldn't work...
  6. What kinda trout? For speckled trout I love a popping cork with a gulp shrimp on a jig head underneath it!
  7. Dunno exactly what a shell cracker is, is that just a generic term for panfish? This was a dark colored war mouth.
  8. Sounds good to me, If anything you can tune your arsenal after you get some Co-Angling done and figure out where the strengths and weaknesses are.
  9. Yeah, I have a Tatula and it is a fantastic reel and I love it but it does seem alittle noisier than normal when using braid.
  10. SAME HERE! Lol yesterday my Pflueger President and all my dropshot stuff came in the mail and my St. Croix Mojo rod is coming today but I cant use any of it until Christmas!
  11. You could try a big heavy jig or Texas rig if the bottom isnt covered in silt, get a 3/4oz jig and just launch it out as far as you can into deeper water cover/structure.
  12. Yeah, 16.5inch is probably around 2.5lbs, nice fish!
  13. It was 2.52 here
  14. There is no such thing as a "invis" braid, the closest you could get to that is just match the lines color to the cover your fishing...
  15. Or get some live craw fish and a spinning rod, throw one out there and let him run around on the bottom a little and jerk him out from hiding every now and again!
  16. I wonder how much bass pro payed him to wear that hat for the picture! Lol
  17. lol I can't ever catch crappie while bass fishing even though there are a lot in the lake I fish....
  18. Sounds good to me, braid is fine for crankbaits. I use 30lb braid for a lot of hard baits
  19. Live bait!
  20. I wonder how many other 19lb+ bass have been caught and never been put in the spotlight lol...
  21. I was reading an article about the top 25 heaviest bass ever caught and didn't see you In There, Just curious but did you ever try to get your bass recognized or did you just keep it on the down low? I know people like butch brown have caught 19lb bass too haven't they? I didn't see him there ethier...
  22. It seems like no matter how slow or how much saliva I use it still gets curly, maybe its the line I was using...
  23. Yup, I love a 1/4oz bomber square A!
  24. I hate the palomar with anything but braid... I dont see how people use it with Fluorocarbon on a dropshot, it makes the line that comes out underneath the hook really curly for me...
