  1. Yeah it was 60$ then they dropped it even lower to 50$ I'm really thinking about ordering it but it might sit reel-less for awhile till I can scrape some extra money together for a decent reel for it.
  2. If you were trying to put together a budget swimbait combo would you go with a round or low profile baitcaster? I was looking at the diawa millionaire and it seems like a good budget round reel...
  3. Nice, pretty fish!
  4. NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers MLB: Chicago Cubs & Tampa Bay Rays
  5. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/11082-favorite-senko-colors/ Found this in the senko FAQ.
  6. Ya, just keep reeling until you feel the fish then firmly sweep the rod, with the open hook it should be easier to get a hookset but buzzbait hooks are usually decently thick so it still needs some force to get it in good. Like bluebasser said you need to get used to the horrible feeling of seeing a bass completely miss your topwater, sometimes they miss it by a long shot too lol!
  7. I've said it before but since there is so much grass where I fish it would be crazy fishing without a weedguard, you'd get fouled up with grass every cast....
  8. Squarebills or jigs maybe... Hard to pick a favorite!
  9. Nice, good job!
  10. Because 50lb braid is around the same diameter of 12-14lb mono, and 50lb mono is as thick as, well, 50lb mono...
  11. Me and my grandpa worked on the bought trying to fix the gear shift to make it go in reverse and we were certain we fixed it, so the next day we're at the lake and I push the boat off and get in with him. He starts it up and thinks he has it in reverse and guns it, so we get beached way up on the bank... Pretty embarrassing but very funny!
  12. ^^ TUF line HeviCore sinking braid is 25$ for 300 yards I think, maybe you can give it a try, I want to try it!
  13. I've heard many many people talk about how braid rips bigger holes in the fishes lips and I really don't believe it, I have never seen any other evidence besides peoples claims... When fishing with braid you don't need to lay into the fish and you need to take into account the fact hook sets will be easier because of the zero stretch...
  14. Nope, if anything braid would help in a long cast situation. It would let you get a better hookset. atleast thats how I look at it...
  15. I agree that those BPS xps lure and the H2O academy hardbaits awesome!
  16. Nice!
  17. Wow that's a pair of pigs right there! Great job!
  18. Bomber square A's are cheap, they flat out catch fish!
  19. Nice bass!
  20. Welcome to the club! Before you know it'll you'll want another combo, then another, and another.....
  21. Then just use smaller hooks like mentioned above? A 3/0 from most company's would be a good size.
  22. It'll feel like someone tapped the end your line with a pencil, Then Sweep the rod and land the fish!
  23. Didn't you just ask this in the rod and reels section like yesterday?
