  1. I remember watching a video about bank fishing where he was with his buddy. His buddy said he bank fished a lot and I believe that he mentioned doing some bankfishing tournaments... I'm curious, are there any rules against bank fishing in big pro tournamnets? Lol like what is stopping you from going to the bassmasters classic and fishing from the bank/dock lol
  2. I don't fish for smallmouth but I can tell you that a bass will bite a jig/craw lure even if there aren't crawfish in you lake, while the lakes I fish have crawfish (I just don't believe there is a lot of them) I still catch tons of bass on jigs and craw soft plastics. As for your Jig questions they can all be answered if you search for previous threads on this site, tons of good information! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12403-jig-fishing-questions/
  3. My papa has always told me he hates otter's because they eat all the fish and they muddy up the water a lot.
  4. The second you purposely damage someone's property just because they were rude is when you are no better than they are and maybe even worse, you need anger management if you lob 2OZ weights at people fishing to close.... lol I will call someone out, But I'm not gonna sit there and argue knowing the other person isn't gonna change their mind. Vandalism - Action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property.
  5. I watched the video. I'm saying you couldn't roll the pole behind you if you didn't have room, like a lot of the places I fish are surrounded by thick trees.
  6. Seems like your kinda limited on where you could fish with that technique, if you don't have a lot of room behind you you can't fish with a really long pole... And if the spot your fishing isn't producing it might be a little bit tedious to just pack up and move. Pretty cool though
  7. Flukes, senkos, and jigs
  8. They taste pretty good and aren't boney if you clean em right!
  9. Probably my right, because you can never go wrong when you go right!
  10. No Zoom Trick Worm?!?
  11. Hmm didn't even know they made that reel, I will probably just wait awhile till I can save up more money so I can have more options or maybe I can score a sweet deal in the flea market lol
  12. Hey guys quick question, what do you think is the best braided line?
  13. Well it doesn't seem like there are really any cheap low profiles with a large enough line capacity to use swimbaits, so I was gonna get a round reel for around 50-70$ I was thinking about getting a diawa millionaire S and a skeet Reese umbrella rig rod to use for swimbaits but I might just wait... Because I'm gonna have to buy some big ole swimbaits for it anyways which are a good bit of money themselves
  14. Why not?? I dip the tails of the power worms in JJ's when I feel like it
  15. Y'all make it sound easy... my papa backlashed and lost his grip on a good baitcasting combo and sent it to the bottom of the lake, we tried fishing for it for a long time and finally gave up lol
  16. Thinking about getting a round reel, what spool size would you get for the techniques listed. I'm probably gonna be using 20-25lb copoly line like CXX or Yo-Zuri Hybrid. I'm trying to decide between 16/200 size or 20/210 size.... it seems like the 16/200 would have more than enough room for 20-25lb line but I'm not experienced with round reels, should I just go ahead and get the bigger size?
  17. I use a Snell knot when flipping matted grass.
  18. Where I fish I'd have to say 50lb braid.
  19. I've got a Shimano Bantam 100, 10SG, 250 and a Diawa PL 1500...
  20. You must have some big pockets to fit those huge swimbaits in them like the one in your profile picture!
  21. Some kind of pointy/cone shaped head with the line tie ethier on the very tip or slightly up.
  22. No trout swimbaits won't work in lakes with no trout, for the same reason worms won't work in lakes with no worms swimming around and jigs won't work in lakes without crawfish.
  23. Oh and I'm talking about a set-up for swimbaits around the 1-3oz range.
