  1. Thanks for the update, glad he is recovering nicely!
  2. Okay, thanks for the tip. I'll look into that!
  3. Sorry I know shipping rods isn't that expensive, probably like 30$... I'm just a little ticked off haha
  4. So I'm reading on the st.Croix website and apparently I have to send a 20$ check and pay for shipping for the possibility that they may not even give me a replacement? How much does it cost to send a freaking 6 and 1/2 long pole? Shoot you might as well buy a new friggin rod!
  5. I just broke my new rod. IM TELLING YOU, everytime I read a thread about something bad happening it happens to me!! Uggggh! And of course its the most expensive rod I've ever bought. My St.Croix mojo ML and I haven't had it but 2 and a half months. Been bank fishing for all of thirty minutes and the tip snaps off, well I guess sooner is better than later... Hopefully St.Croix will give me my replacement/refund.
  6. With my traps and squarebills I use a fast action because I fish around a lot of grass and it helps me rip the baits free a lot easier...
  7. Well, the dropshot stopped working yesterday lol Couldn't catch a thing!
  8. If you only had one arm but three legs and it was Saturday, but the third Saturday of the month, on your birthday and you only had half a rod and no lure what sunscreen would you use?
  9. Wow those are some great catches, congrats on the new PB!
  10. Yeah it still seems like some people still tend to like broomsticks though, I flipped with a guy all day Saturday and he was using a really fast action, and the rod he let me use was also a pretty fast action. I didn't get to catch anything but he caught 3... I've been looking into getting a rod and reel for flipping and was debating on a fast vs moderate fast action. Does anyone get away with fishing frogs on a moderate fast, because I would also like do a little frogging on the rod I choose. (Heavy cover frogging)
  11. I buy it from TW.
  12. Why do a lot of people use moderate fast for flipping? It seems like with the short amount of line out and the heavy cover you would want a fast action so you can hook set quicker and get the bass out sooner? Does using moderate fast rods while flipping actually get you better hook sets, or is it a different reason?
  13. I'm exactly like lunkerfisher, usually 2 to 1/0 for nose hooking most baits and 1/0 to 3/0 for wacky rigging, and the spinshots are very good, its all I've been using for dropshotting and they work great!
  14. The spawn is on here, been having a lot of fun bank fishing since the fish are all shallow and right up on the bank!
  15. Don't shy away from casting a Dropshot, it's deadly when the fish are shallow and holding on specific pieces of cover!
  16. What has been working for you lately? I'm sure a lot of people up farther north are still fishing cold weather patterns but down here the fish are already in the Pre-Spawn/Spawn and so far I have caught 90% of my bass this spring on dropshotting Zoom finesse worms and casting/dropshotting marabou jigs! One lake on an Air Force Base I fish I have never had much luck on but the past week or so Its been on fire!
  17. NICE! Pb's are always great and your new one probably won't last long...
  18. Nice, pretty fish! I'd love to catch a peacock bass someday...
  19. A lot of fish have orange on them, I'm sure it would work!
  20. Really? Hmm, I thought it was more. Guess I'll try to get my parents to sign up for that lol!
  21. I have dish and don't get WFN I think its part of a sportsman package you can get for extra though...
  22. I don't use straight FC but I like sniper for my leaders.
  23. Cast a dropshot to their bed and shake it until they bite, you can keep working the bait right in front of the bass as long as you want with a drop shot!
  24. Ahhh I see what ya did there lol, gotta love the good ole outdoors!
  25. I don't throw spinnerbaits very much at all, but when the wind is blowing that's when I'll break down and throw a spinnerbait because they are the ticket a lot of times!
