  1. Run a crank right by their face!
  2. Do you guyss use a white trailer on a white spinner bait? I'm asking because I just realized I don't have any white lures except trickworms but I wanted to try some white spinnerbaits tomorrow. Does this color combination look decent? Im thinking it wont matter because im fishing darker water and i just want the trailer to give it a little bit bulkier profile
  3. Yeah I like when there is just enough wind to put a ripple on the water!
  4. There are Lilly pads and matted grass right next to each other on my local lake and I can catch fish in both. So I really do think each bass might have a opinion on which is better lol!
  5. For 12inch berkly power worms and zoom ole' monsters I use a 6/0 cutting edge eagle claw EWG but I'm gonna try out round bends for big worms because that what some other people suggested
  6. Okay there is a bass, on his left there is thick Lilly pads and on his right there is matted grass. Which does he go hide in? Basically which do bass prefer, I have been asking myself this for awhile...
  7. I usually like to cover lots of water so I'm sailing along a lot of the time but if the fish bite is slow I'll slowdown...
  8. Pets mart! Haha at least I say it like that
  9. I like red during spawn but that's it really
  10. I say fishermen even when I'm talking about one person. Because that's just how I talk haha
  11. I feel ya..... I fish a place called banks lake which is basically a lake made out of a swamp and I get skunked all the time there! During the tournaments if you catch a limit you have a good chance at winning the tournament.
  12. It was more of a joke guys because me and my friend were joking around and arguing about it. But like every post some people have to take stuff seriously. Like sirsnookalot said, if I was being serious I could have easily googled this
  13. I've probably spent about the same on rod reel and line and terminal tackle as lures/baits...
  14. The lake I fish doesn't have them I don't think, its main bait fish are blue gill, perch, war mouth, wild shiners, and minnows But I'm in south Georiga.
  15. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/140029-braid-vs-fluorocarbons/?fromsearch=1 Read this thread that I posted awhile baxk, it has some good post in it
  16. Well for spinners and cranks I like braid because on a line with no slack it is more sensitive than any other line and can hook a bass with the slightest pressure. I also like braid because it is a lot more easily managed and has very very little memory.
  17. Nethier is a better choice, fish them both which ever one you like more use. I like braid for most applications but many more people like FC for most applications. It all comes down to you and what you want.
  18. Okay guys which is correct when talking about one person! "Fisherman" or "Fishermen"? Like would you say "he is a fishermen" or "he is a fisherman"? Or is one plural and one singular hahaha sorry I'm dumb
  19. That's what I was thinking so I switched colors and it didn't work, at first I was thinking it was gar but their wasn't any teeth marks in my worms and my line had no frays so that not the problem
  20. The only way I can catch gar is with a circle hook and letting them swallow live bait really...
  21. Yes its the only hook I use for my 10-12 inch worms... Yeah I was getting frustrated after the second missed bass maybe I need to take a day or two break lol
  22. Oh and one more thing, im setting the hook straight over my head. Man it just sucks because those fish felt like a rock when I set the hook and had to be 4lbs, which is big for me because my PB is just shy of 5lbs
  23. Well guys this week has sucked, I lost my trolling motor and have been skunked for the third day in a row now... But this day was different I tried everything but figured out they wanted 12 inch worms so I started throwing ole monsters and berkly power worms, I got 5 good bites and missed every fish, I would set the hook and feel them for a split second and then they would spit the hook! I've never had problems hooking bass on my 12 inch setups untill now, you think it was just bad luck I'm using a 7'0 ft MH Fast action shimano zeles rod with a 7.3 tatula, spooled with 50lb braid and a 14lb flouro leader with brand new 6/0 cutting edge eagle claw EWG hooks. I'll go through my process and maybe y'all can point out something I'm doing wrong, First I feel the first ticks of the bite then I reel up all slack until I can barely feel some of the fishes weight and then I set the hook which is 1-3 seconds after they take the bait.... I'm putting all my force into it due to the thick wire hook and thick bait. Does that sound right? One of the bass I set the hook on complety took my worm, like I pulled it up and it was just a bare hook....
