Lead weights have been used for YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS, we don't have bass with arms and legs yet so I don't see a problem... I see no decline in bass health in all these years.
Or any fish really
Not everyone has money just a lying around. If you can afford to not use lead then good for you, I can hardly afford gas money to go fishing everyday and rage craws to catch my fish... Let alone paying more than 2$ a weight.
Lol Basically what he said was, your ignorant and don't care about your waters, and you are hurting the fish on purpose and should be ashamed, but not trying to call you ignorant.... Lol wat?
100 1/4oz lead weights is 25lbs? I've been doing math wrong all these years... On a more serious note, its actually only 1.56lbs
100 ÷ .25oz = 25oz
25oz ÷ 16oz = 1.56lbs. 16oz in a pound buddy
Today didn't go near as good as yesterday, but still caught a few, this was the biggest so no hawgs sadly but he was caught on a buzz bait too!
I got probably 15 strikes at the top water but couldn't hook up, im sure some were chain pickerel too.
It could be worse, talk to the "lake association president" and see if he can talk sense into the litterbugs.
Some people honestly don't think they are doing anything wrong and will stop if asked.... Or they will just blow it off and continue to litter lol
I think they may at one time had been sold as "zetabait ding-a-lings" but I guess that mold is then only way to get some now and I'm not about to start pouring my own plastics haha
Yeah the academy line of square bills are great and can be bought with or without rattles and have lots of colors to choose... I agree with using 20-30lb braid...
I would change it just to be safe.... If you pick up a spool of the line you want and get a bigger spool of cheap mono and use backing you could fill more than one reel with that one spool of good line....
If you don't know what backing is or a knot to tie it to the main line just Google it haha
Lol awhile back I was sparring with some dude and he put me in a arm bar, he was new so I didn't want to look like a loser getting beat by this newbie, I didn't tap and SNAP CRACKLE POP and the back of my hand is touching my triceps... Just kidding it wasn't that bad but in did break my elbow or something like that... And now I can't straighten my left arm out all the way...
Hey man if you get on runners world.com and join the forums and read up you could start running on roads and build your strength back up! Its the bass resource of running lol
Texa - pose, skin hook, whatever you wanna call it haha
Its just where when you texas rig your baits you push the hook all the way out the other side and barely tuck it back in the bait, that way when the fish bites your bait the hook pops out of the bait by itself and its easier to get a good hook set.
Yea that's how I caught these, I'd rather use a soft plastic as a buzzbait anyways... Especially around the thicker stuff I was fishing in today, it just comes through the junk great. Its just really important IMO when doing this to skin hook your baits or you'll lose more fish
Welcome to the forums, who knows maybe you just started a new chapter of your life, you'll have pictures up of you holding a limit of 5-10lbers in no time!
