  1. Out of what you listed, its bluegill. Any of the other fish you would hook eventually. Especially if you use a scent like JJ's
  2. Could be war mouth perch, if it was pickerel you would still catch one every now and then. War mouth hit like a train and will bite lures way bigger than they are often just getting the back end.
  3. Same here, even though I wont throw them a whole lot, it would diffently be fun catching fish on them!
  4. Nobody fishes exactly the same as someone else....
  5. From my experience with the Rick Clunn square bills they are terrible. Bought 3 one day and none ran true out of the box, 2 broke the bill in timber, one of them sank tail down for some reason, I tried to boat flip a 3 pounder and one of the treble snapped off the 3rd... I find it hard to believe I got 3 duds, but I do know some people who like them I guess...
  6. If a lure needs an infomercial its probably not amazing...
  7. The 2.5 is as big as I'll go really... the 1.5 already catches hawgs, the 8.0 is twice the length and weight of the 2.5 and is pretty massive, I guess if your hunting hawgs it'll get the job done haha
  8. Another great post by the one and only squirmin wormin! If it works for you don't change it...
  9. Sight fishing they are a must, they also make seeing bass following your lure a lot easier... I know the benefits but I just don't like wearing them. I know exactly what I missing lol but I'm actually thinking about investing in a real good pair of glasses one day and just sucking it up and wearing em
  10. For everyone that thinks bass "hook themselves" on crank baits, you need to watch this video, bass have no problem inhaling an entire crabkbait and spitting it back out. Crankbaits still need a hookset! Sweep and reel!
  11. I hate wearing sunglasses... I'll only wear them if I am facing the sun.
  12. It seems like if normal cotton shirts didn't protect your skin you would still be able to get a little tan through your shirt, but I've got a horrible farmers tan, tan arms and neck but when I take my shirt off it looks like a still have a white T-shirt on hahaha
  13. I'm usually reeling it slowly just below the surface and every so often I'll give it a quick jerk causing it to move erratically, great bait for finicky bass. I love throwing it right over the top of shallow grass!
  14. I'd also vote for a diawa tatula, great reel for frog fishing, feels very powerful when getting those salad covered bass to the boat. You can find them for 100$ if you look around, talk to Ron at valley sports, he might be able to hook you up with a deal!
  15. That's what I call a pair of hawgs!
  16. stopped using the clinch for braid and started using the Palomar and I liked it a lot for awhile but the whole passing the lure through the loop thing is something that eventually got me annoyed... Started using the san diego Jam and I love it, I can tie it fast and it seems like a pretty strong knot! Anybody have any complaints about this knot when used with braid?
  17. Went out today to the back of banks lake where the winds been blowing towards for a couple days and there were tons of bait fish all stacked on that side, started throwing topwaters, cranks, frogs, everything... I couldn't for the life of me get a bite so I decided to slow down and tied on a strike king swim jig with a fat Albert trailer and caught one keeper, then didn't get another bite for a good while but finally got one on the zoom trick worm. Pretty slow day overall, its been a tough week around here... I know I was fishing the best spot in the lake but just couldn't produce many bites. Nice day though I enjoyed it! Got to see a guy pulling a little boat with a motorcycle too, that's new lol
  18. I live in south Georiga and regularly fish 2 places year round and never see people using them any time of year... But these lakes don't have a ton of people fishing them ethier.
  19. Alabama rig, you almost never see the casual fishermen using it.
  20. *2 for Columbia long sleeves!
  21. Black sapphire zoom speed craw!
  22. If it was a completly slack line then you will feel nothing with braid, with a semi-slack line you will still have some feel but not as much as a fluorocarbon. If your not watching your line always try to keep your line semi-slack so you can still feel bites.
  23. Today I was just having a conversation with the person in the boat and I was bouncing my worm of the bottom directly under the boat in like 4-5 feet if crystal clear water when a bass came up and grabbed it before my eyes... Its was awesome! I hardly ever get to actually see the bass take my lure besides topwater.
  24. Ive only fished from a kayak a couple times now and it seems very hard to punch grass in them. You just can't get that vertical presentations and its hard to yank the bass out, but I'm not experienced with a kayak so I may just be whining haha
  25. Jeremy wades TV show could have an episode about bluegill and make them look terrifying. That being said I friggin love the show river monsters!
