  1. So you ever find any good places to fish Waco Thomas? I'll be there next week, and any tips would sure be appreciated.
  2. I see it all the time and drove by but it is a private lake that is fenced off. Looks good for fishing though.
  3. This was one of my most productive lipless crankbaits, and lure for that matter. It was a super slow sink and eventually suspended at a depth of 3 feet below the waters surface. I recently found a picture of it while Googling "LIPLESS CRANKBAIT". I still don't remember who makes it though. Any info would be greatly helpful. Thanks.
  4. FOUND IT! The one I was talking about. Now all you need to do is find someone who'll sell you it on ebay.
  5. Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. I just bought a Daiwa Shrapnel and it should arrive within the next couple of weeks. I'll update on how it performs.
  6. If you haven't bought one yet you can tryout Moam Sticks 51/50. Just send him a pm on facebook. Ben from LDC likes his work as well.
  7. Just picked 2 up from a local shop I haven't used them yet but was curious if it makes a difference if you installed the tail fin upside down instead of right side up like the instructions says. Just curious since I want the best swimming action before I decide to super glue the fin in. The top lure has the correct fin fitted. Thanks for any info.
  8. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=define+swimbait&tts=0 Next topic please. LOL.
  9. If you're just wanting to eat them and not looking for a trophy then the jakes are the way to go. The meat aren't as tough as those old Toms.
  10. I'm really interested in purchasing one of these two reels, but I'm not really familiar and have never held one. I've only heard great things from them. I was wondering if anyone out there in the fishing world has both and has a preference and why. I'd be mainly using this new reel as a heavy swimbait setup. 2oz - 10oz lures. Thanks for the help guys and gals.
  11. That one looks like the earlier discontinued models. The new models have those "S" in the eyes.
  12. Here you go guys! I would love to see you guys out there fishing on TV. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPageC?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&appID=87198&cm_sp=NxtGrtAngFeb2015_EMAIL&om_rid=NtBopE&om_mid=_BUyUDuB8-A1MJO
  13. Nice is that a bull shad that you're using? How do you like it? And what size is it?
  14. Have you guys decided to do the Mondo Tackle thing yet? If so, what day and time please?
  15. Also Thursday night football. LoL....
  16. Sooooooooooooooo True!!!!!!
  17. Finally popped my cherry in KS using the Savage Gear 3D Trout line thru. 4.5 to 5 lbs caught on the NW end of Leavenworth Lake.
  18. Now I've seen people measure their fish with multiple different types of items. (Fishing rod, 2 liter Soda Bottles, etc.) But you with your daughter lying on the ground tops them all....LOL. Great fishing report, too bad my son was born on the 1st otherwise I'd been hitting up SMP more often.
  19. Been killing it on the dam with watermelon fluke.
  20. You should have just called TIPS anyways. I don't have a problem doing it cause it is "OUR" fishing future that people like that threatens. “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.” ― Aldous Huxley
  21. Thanks Salenity, I LOVE Punching that thick stuff. I'll have to try this week.
  22. Welcome to KC Austin, if you love bassin' you've got to try Miami Lake. That's one of the places I've found in the KC area where the fish are soo aggressive. Couple years ago I was catching bass froggin' miday in 100 degree weather. I got sunburned bad but didn't notice it when the bite is that hot. Averaging 25 bass an hour it is my go to lake if I'm fiending for some action. Another nice lake to visit is La Cygnes Lake. Nice warm water year round (Due to the Power plant) helps the bass get big in this lake. Only problem is it is very limited for shore fishing. Good luck to you buddy.
  23. I think you got the 2 lakes mixed up Bluebasser, the place Austin is talking about is Paradise Lake resort just outside of Blue Springs, MO. The place that you're talking about is Anglers Paradise, which is over in Liberal, MO. I've never tried either place, but like you said anyplace that has produced 13lbs Bass is worth fishing. Good luck and thanks for the info guys.
  24. Welcome back Jim, just wanted to share with you some spots I've managed to pull out some 2-3lbs largemouth a few years ago. Don't know if they'll still be productive but hopefully you'll have some luck. When you enter the lake from the south end off of 159th st. There is a cove immediately to your left once you reach the lake. That spot has been producing some decent size bass for me a few years ago. I know now that the water is down some due to the drought but hopefully you can still get some there. I've also always wanted to try by the bridge on Lone Elm rd but it was just too far a walk for me so I've never have. I hope you have some luck at the lake.
