i ordered a FRS and was sent a S. even tho the plastic wrapper had "FRS" on it,. the box itself said 70S. . other than that i havent had an issue. awesome lipless cranks
heard good things about the david fritts rods. heres another option - powell diesel 705cb. been my go to rod for the past couple weeks im really liking this thing.
these are like 5.99 each. they were in a huge box not long ago for 1/2 off. ima see if i can still get some at that price. regardless ill probably pick up 5 or 6 more.. i slayed em the other day on a certain discontinued color. first time ever using the bandits
my local tackle shop has a LOT of older bandit crankbaits still in stock. older packaging. discontinued colors. doesnt say where its made just says "bandit lures" on the back and the "mustad triple grip" logo on front. are these the US made ones or mexico?. are these better lures than the newer china made ones?. should i go on and stock up while i can ?
is it the bps graphite series rod?. i have that same 6'6 mh/f rod somewhere. it might work well but isnt it a pretty stiff rod?. may be not so ideal for say a 1/4 oz popper but would handle the heavier stuff fine. i havent tried this rod for topwater tho i could be wrong
weird how these prices on these things are this season. forget looking st fleabay unless u wanna spend over $200. thats crazy that the citica went for that much. guya readily sell those in the forums for $60-$80. oh well. theyre definitely amazing reels. . i have a NIB E5 ive debated selling
tracking says mine should b here today. was hopin to take it out to the pond but we got alot of rain coming in this afternoon. will def pick up a 130 size if i like it
$195?!. way too much. stay off ebay for shimano stuff look at forums and such. usually guys sell the E's for $120-150....and i have yet to have an issue with my curado I going on 3 years with it. the Chronarch E's are still out there. my local shop still carries em for $199
im with u on this. that 7ft seems to fit me nicely. i need to pick up a cpl new rods to replace a couple shorter ones. gonna hang onto a couple for close quarter casting and topwater
i primarily fish from the bank but will have access to a couple jon boats here and there soon. i fished a 7 footer for awhile the other day and it felt great vs the shorter 6'6 rods im used to using. is a 7footer still comfortable/ easy to fish from a jon boat/kayak? in the 2 rods im lookin at getting they make a 6'9 and 7'
a few things i picked up :
13 Metanium XG
a couple spro aruku shad jr.'s, red eye shads, cultiva zip n ziggy
lookin at adding a couple rods within the next week or two
lost a lucky craft pointer last season. this season so far is a 6th sense ****** in chrometreuse shad color. i immediately ordered another. i did lose a megabass s crank 1.5 for two days but lucky for me it was at my pond and the fish somehow got the lure out itself. i was able to find it floating by the bank in some weeds. i think my knot failed me on that one
