  1. Thanks man I own a 6'6 mlmf Aetos casting i paired with a Daiwa alphas sv 105 for shallow cranks and poppers. I really like the aetos I think im gonna spend the xtra money and upgrade to the Aetos. Thanks guys.
  2. Anyone know the difference in the bass vs walleye series?
  3. Ok guys so Fenwick is replacing a broken rod for me a 6'9 ml-f elite tech smallmouth spinning series.. I truly loved that rod. Anyways they want me to pick out a rod from their elite tech bass series and i haven't even held one. I have a few of the elite tech smallmouth spinning rods in 6'3 m-f. They said the 6'10 mlxf is the rod that replaced my rod, thing is I'm not really looking for another drop shot rod atm. So my question of the Elite tech bass rods witch would be good to get into finesse jig fishing with? I fish river smallmouth 99% of the time. jigs I'm looking at are 3/16-3/8th range then have to add trailer. (casting or spinning). Thanks for any help fellas.
  4. thanks guys I ended up getting the aplhas sv105sh from Digitaka, I cant wait to fish with it. Thanks alot for the feedback.
  5. Thanks for the suggestions guys looks like I'm gonna grab a alphas sv105sh from Japan Lure Shop. Ive never bought from them, I hope they are on the up n up. I see they are Pay Pal so that's reassuring. I saw where Digitaka was cheaper Anyone ever had any dealings with them?
  6. Im wondering if im really gaining anything with the daiwa over the lews.
  7. Hey guys anyone familiar with this reel? I was wondering what you guys thought about it, I want a finesse reel for my Aetos 6'6 mlmc rod i just purchase. I'm trying to decide between the lews tourney light and this reel. What I'm wondering is if I go with the Daiwa wich gear ratio to go with as there is only two 5:8.1 and 7:2.1 i want it for shallow cranks 1-8 foot and some poppers and torpedos. This will be a river set up for smallies. Any help would be great thanks guys.
  8. Np Tom I was talking spinning. I went ahead and ordered the 6'7 light and the 6'10 ml at those prices i figure it was a good deal. Thanks alot.
  9. Idk if its the same ones but american fishing legacy has crucials for 89.99 bucks, thats where i found the aarons edge rods for 84.99. I think the crucials are casting only tho.
  10. I haven't found much on them as far as research, mainly because everything i hear really isnt about the way they fish but cosmetics. I dont mind the looks of rods as i have st croix avid rods in pink that i got a real good deal on. I dont care for the way they look but it doesnt shake my confidence any, they fish great.I was mainly wondering about the application of the 6'7 light spinning rod wether or not it would be a good rod for charlie brewer slider heads in around 1/16 oz weights.
  11. Are you talking about charlie brewer slider heads Tom? I was thinking about the 1/16 oz heads on light line as i read that Charlie Brewer fished these on ultra light rods. My concern is that the MH would straighten the thin slider hooks what say you?
  12. Hello every one i was wanting to ask you all your opinion, I see The Aarons edge spinners on sale and was wondering if the 6'7 light rod would be a good slider rod as i want to get into slider fishing this year. Any help would be great thanks guys. I was also wondering if any of these rods would be good for spybaiting?
  13. Thanks for the reply Francho,I have a *** black 6'10 ml-xf i use for drop shotting,I also have a elite tech smallmouth 6'9 ml-f i was gonna throw split shot rigs on. I am trying to figure out what to use the avid for. what do you think?
  14. Hey guys I recently got a good deal on a new rod the avid 6'3 ml-xf for 100 bucks new. I fish the New And Greenbrier river. I was wondering how this rod would be as a ned rig rod paired with pflueger supreme xt 30 size? Im trying to find some applications for this setup. And also I primarily chase smallmouth bass. Any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks.
