  1. I'm bout to put in my order, finally, and I'm rounding it out with some new line. I've used Seaguar InvizX Fluoro, Sufix Elite Mono, Izorline XXX Copolymer Smoke as well as Power Pro Spectra Yellow Braided for my top waters and Power Pro Spectra Braided Moss Green as backing on my other two rods. Would ya'll go with these two again or upgrade to something better? All my rods are spinning, by the way Update Question: I've been using #15 Moss Green as mainline before my leaders on my ML & MF - I've been using a heavier Power Pro Yellow for my top water. Ideally, what # should I pick up?
  2. Man, you're really sellin' yourself short. I'm givin' ya another $200 for the concision
  3. Appreciated brother. I ordered some jigs off Siebert Outdoors many years ago as well and loved the quality. I'll have to look back into it!
  4. Only a G?! Consider it done, what's the PayPal?!
  5. Definitely should have mentioned I have a whopper plopper as well! I'd have to check in my bag to see what color it is but, which do you recommend? I have a couple Cavitrons as well! Stocked up on those a few years back because the people on this site seemed to love them lol
  6. Sheesh, I don't think I've posted since 2017! That's wild. Anyway, I haven't ordered any new tackle since last Spring & I'm about to put together a little order but I'm unsure on a few things. Also, it sucks to say but, I haven't really stayed up to date on new fishing tackle, period, since last Summer so I apologize for how dumb a couple of these might be. River Fishing w/ Spinning Rods 1. Are Spro Little John Crankbaits still phenomenal pickups? 2. Is the Ned Rig still a solid technique? 3. Anybody have any must have top waters? I have a couple Spooks & a Pompadour. Gave away a few top waters to a buddy who was getting into fishing so I'm rebuilding 4. Line Upgrade: I need to replace the line on all three of my rods. - I've been using straight PowerPro braid on my MH Rod (frogs, heavy top waters), braid to mono on the MF (light top waters, jerks & cranks) and braid to fluoro on my ML (ned rig, finesse). Should I stick with this or get something different per? 5. This is a two part question: I'm looking to add another spinning rod to my mini-arsenal and am looking to spend anywhere under $120. However, I currently have combo rod & reels (Veritas & Vengeance rods). Would you suggest adding another rod OR buying a new reel? 6. Any new(er) plastics I should absolutely purchase? Very general post but I know ya'll will get me set-up.
  7. I need some opinions from ya'll! I have three rods, a MH, a ML & a MF(all spinning). I'm really trying to focus on getting the best results based on line and rod. I have braid as the mainline on all three with the MH being braid only and i'm throwing heavy topwaters(big whopper plopper) and frogs with that. I'm drop-shotting, ned rigging and finessing with the ML. Last, I'm throwing lighter topwaters, crankbaits, jerkbaits and jigs with the MF. I currently have #10 Seaguar InvizX Fluoro, #10 Sufix Elite Mono and #8 Izorline Copoly. Which line would you put on which rod to maximize my results?
  8. After cleaning out and organizing all my tackle last night, I came across a few jointed swimbaits and I was wondering if anybody has used them and if they had success. 9. Just as the title suggests: where is the best place to buy MegaBass products? With that, are there any good places to get them for cheap? After seeing the Dog-X, I really need to pick one or two of these up!
  10. There's specific places I go where I throw on the ol leader. No joke I had a tiger musky annihilate a ned rig last summer in a small creek I was wading in. I wasn't even trying for it, but--with a twist and a jerk and me not being smart to let some drag out, snapped my fluoro leader. Never been so depressed in my life....the plus side is, it was about 15 feet away so I at least got a glimpse lol
  11. I appreciate it man, always good to listen to others advice! I always ran straight mono but it's so easy to walk with pure braid, I don't know.
  12. I'm using spinning gear with all 3 set-ups!
  13. This spring, I'm having a heck of a time deciding which of these two I want to dedicate to topwater. I know they'll both call for different lures but it's getting stressful! I have my MF spooled up with #15 PowerPro and I've been throwing my spooks and smaller walking baits on that. Would you guys also hook up a leader to it and throw different stuff? My second is the MH with #30 PowerPro and I throw heavier stuff on that(Whopper Plopper, etc). That is also pure braid, but do ya'll think I should utilize this with a leader other times also? Rookie questions from someone who should know much better, I know. Just need other opinions!
  14. Yes, I personally have used the Big Mama by Buddha Baits. Wasn't impressed at first, but in the right situations it absolutely cleans up! Definitely recommend.
  15. Trying to determine what test to get now is driving me crazy, lolol. I'm stuck in a constant state of uncertainty.
  16. AMEN MAN. GOOD LORD. I've seen Suffix suggested here MANY times throughout the years and after I bought it last year, it did turn into a slinky. It's so frail too. I'll look into this Maxima stuff.
  17. Well to make it easier, I fish Mono on my 6'6 MF for my topwaters, I do braid w/ a mono or fluoro leader for my 6'9 ML for ned rig and other finesse presentations and straight braid on my 6'6 MH for frogs and heavier lures. Power Pro for the braid, Seaguar Invizx for the fluoro and Sufix Elite Mono. I wanna' upgrade.
  18. So you're saying Sufix over Power Pro?
  19. Just as the title says! Post up your favorite braid, FC & Mono. I'm trying to get away from the Suffix mono I've been using and I'm debating on switching up from Power Pro to something else. I've heard Izorline CoPoly is great as well but I don't know. All suggestions are welcome, I wanna' get this order in. ***ALL MY RODS ARE SPINNING RODS***
  20. Well, I've been using my MF for top water and weightless senkos as well as crankbaits. My ML for drop shotting and ned rigs & my MH for heavy jigs, texas rigs, carolina rigs and heavy buzzbaits. I just want to know what I should use for each rod. I like what I have, big time--but if I can improve and some things are better suited for each rod, then I'd like to switch
  21. So, I have a 6'6 MH, a 6'6 MF and a 6'9 ML(all spinning). I have pure mono on the MF, braid to mono on my ML and braid to fluoro on my MH. Is that smart? I'm debating if I should switch it up but i'm not 100% sure .
  22. Thank you all for the answers and feedback in the topwater and finesse presentation section! Please, continue to answer those if you haven't already to keep up some great discussion. Next, we will be focusing on fishing line. Everybody has their opinion(which they claim to be fact) on which fishing line is the greatest. For this, I'd like ya'll to suggest ONE brand of each line. Mono, Fluoro & Braid. Monofilament: Suffix Clear Elite Fluorocarbon: Seaguar InvizX Braid: PowerPro Sprectra
  23. Guys, I have a GoPro Hero3 currently and am looking to upgrade, but that's a different story. As of now, I have a headmount and a chestmount as well as the suction cup mount that you can put on certain surfaces. I also have the standard waterproof housing. As a fisherman interesting in continuing to make videos, what do you recommend? I do not have a boat so everything is from shore. Please & thank you guys!
