  8. I recently have been taking my buddy fishing and he don't know squat. I out fish him every time and that's the one thing I keep telling him, is every cast is a calculated decision. We can be in the middle of a huge flat, were the fish are scattered all across it and I still don't cast randomly. You're theory is right on point.
  9. +1 Turtles I'm my experience feel like dead weight.
  10. A co-worker and I are planning to go to sturgeon bay in october and we wanted to catch some smallies? Wondering if that time of year would be good(I believe it is)? Well they still be on the flats or moved out to the reef edge? Never fished it before, it's on my bucket list to fish, so needless to say am pretty exceited. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appercated thanks.
  11. There really biting. No monsters, (not sure if there is such a thing on these lakes) still fun though you wont get skunked that's for sure. So if you're looking just to go out and catch a shi* ton this is the fishing. Powerbait kills em. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gu9f-UOQEo
  12. I was fishing pool 10 on Mississippi river about a hour half away from me so I left early, we pulled up still was pretty dark out so we got out just messed around, all of sudden we seen these lights about a foot or two above the water, no way it was a boat, they blinked once poof 10feet down the river blinked again it was really bright then 10 ft back up the river. They were all over the river happened for about Ten mins, they were all over the place, me n my buddy have no idea what those were, we talked about the whole trip. bass fishing almost toke a backseat that trip. Am not saying anything just don't what it was. Also not a barge or spotlight.
  13. Sturgeon Bay..... Nothing beats it for smallies. Look up some of the tourney sacks.
  14. Power Pro
  15. Being a rat is never good, but in this situation you have to say something, you wont be able to live with yourself if someone gets hurt or killed. Back in high school a kid told me he was going to SHOOT UP the high school come Monday..... I figured he was joking and it turned out he was, but my conscience was eating at me over the weekend thinking what if he actually did, and I could have stopped him. I got ahold of the principal during the weekend come Monday morning cops were outside waiting for him.
  16. Make sure you are prepared. Then prepare some more. If things don't go the way you plan, stay confident at all times you do those 2 things, you well catch fish. Can't emphasize those two enough. Good Luck
  17. I hate when they sneak up on and they realize you're there and you don't and all of sudden WHAP......... gets me every time
  18. I try not to overthink crankbait colors as much, A lot of reaction strikes and as far as which am throwing I stick to the old saying MATCH THE HATCH
  19. The Rage series have been very good to me, won a tourney on the rage shad. I"ll make sure to pick up some of these thanks.
