  1. Probably going to stay until Curado 50I comes out (which should).
  2. How well does it actually cast? Take the spool out and make sure that the inductor spring is working properly (the inductor should be pushed towards the spool). I thought free spool was cool, when I first started to upgrade reels. Since then, I realized that it is completely useless.
  3. http://i.imgur.com/y8YugPQ.jpg Its got the same colors like the Ci4+. Casts similar stuffs. But, not quite the same .
  4. pistol grips are awesome for accurately casting topwaters.
  5. I would buy a nice reel, just because I love the different technologies that gets incorporated into them.
  6. Keep in mind that high quality line will last longer. I used a 100 yards of Toray SuperHard Strong for most of last year, and I only had to change it because I made series of "professional overruns" on it.
  7. The initial email could take 1 or 2 business days. I believe mine took 2 days for them to respond as well.
  8. They were very communicative with me. They approved for replacement the day it arrived. The whole thing took about 2 weeks from the time I sent it to them, and the time I got my replacement, just because of the freight time.
  9. At least a sudden gust didn't cause your trunk close and snap a F4-68X7. Megabass USA did replace it for me though.
  10. It is two line ties btw. The bottom one lets it swim as a topwater, while the top one allows the lure to dive. You can also attach small weight to the bottom tie to change the lure from a floater to suspend or sink. You obviously don't fish swimbaits . It's relatively cheap for something of that size/quality.
  11. I want to know how well it will throw just that 1/16 oz jig head .
  12. Awesome. I am still deciding what to pair with my Metanium HG, that I upgraded with some KTF parts. I know the spool is 1.2 grams heavier than the Aldebaran BFS one, so its questionable whether it can successfully throw 1/16 oz jig+trailer, even with proper rod. Edit* The finish and color on the blank is quite stunning.
  13. Is this your first JDM? and can you tell me how well it handles 1/16 of an oz stuffs once you get to try it out?
  14. Thanks for the information, and congratulations
  15. The water temperature changed, when they switched management of the plant. Its not as good as it used to be. I have tried multiple times during the winter last year, but I have caught none.
  16. I agree. It feels very weird for Aaron to go from Megabass, which has some of the best form and function, to coming up with these colors. I think the grips of the spinning rod looks pretty good, but Enigma fishing might had too much hand into the blank's colors. :/
  17. I think aesthetics do matter. Why should you are drop your hard-earned cash on something you aren't going to like looking at? Especially since the price range is so competitive, with many alternatives that have the aesthetics and performance.
  18. You can definitely get it for cheaper once it does come out, because Japan tackle do charge hefty fee for shipping + retail price on the (non preorder) reels, BUT you won't find a Japanese e-tailer who will give you the extensive warranty and customer service after the sale. If you care about those stuffs for reels, this would be it!
  19. I have tried the BBZ knock off, and I can tell you that I regret it. It only swims when you wake it, the tail is put on poorly(granted BBZ isn't that great either), and the compartments are just junk.
  20. Good thing I didn't sell my last gens...
  21. I finally got the chance to hold the new IMX, and I am shocked how different it is from the older model. The new 843C felt so much clunkier in my hands, and no where near as comfortable as the last generation one I have. Did G.Loomis make up for this by increasing its sensitivity? I would appreciate for anyone who have had both models to chime in for me. Thanks,
  22. Oh, my, god... http://instagram.com/p/ydMousizWx/
  23. It still acts on the aluminum, it doesn't have to be a ferrous material to induce a current. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenz%27s_lawThe change in the state of original magnetic flux due to the spool spinning naturally creates a EMF that acts opposite of the change, thus magnetic breaking.
  24. It's more like the southern wind warms the lake and pushes the warm top column of water north, while northern wind cools and pushes the water south. I moved to Connecticut this year, and I can't wait to fish in these beautiful lakes once the ice clears for bass fishing.
