  1. Yup, that one is pretty special.
  2. People here don't understand how rare some of these things are.
  3. Easily XX PP from that series. Amart X7 if you want something more pricey.
  4. I have many many rods, but my favorite one is still a X4
  5. 12lb Trilene and Sufix are .330mm line which have around 16lb breaking strength, which is more than enough for 1/2 oz things. I assume the OP wants to actually use his set up... I throw 6-7 oz Swimbaits, and I don't even use .450 mm line for those. LOL
  6. How the OP will cast a 1/4 oz lure with 30 lb nylon is beyond me, especially knowing how wiry the line is. Try 12 lb Trilene XL or Sufix Elite, something decently thick and easy handling to learn how to cast.
  7. 20LB big game has breaking strength of 30 lb line. Are you guys really suggesting this for a MH rod? LOL
  8. There are plenty of low profiles that will be fine. If you want to throw big swimbaits, the low profiles are also going to be huge though.
  9. I have yet to have FG knot break on me, and I use it for long long leaders in my saltwater set up. It helps me get the extra distance when I am making long cast and is just more comfortable than all of the other knots for me. Lightly melt the end of fluorocarbon to create a little ridge for the braid to grab on to.
  10. d**n, that sucks. I am sure you can contact them and ask about it, they are pretty responsive on FB/Email.
  11. It's not made out of plastic, it is made out of Silicone which lasts much better than plastic. You can easily search up the action on their FB page, and they are great. Unlike the Hudd, they will not run on their side.
  12. The line management with way I cast is wayyyyy better with T-Wing than anything else I got in my arsenal.
  13. It makes me happier when I use it. Only reason I need lol
  14. That's MG body, a lot of those reels have carbon composite gear and brake side plates. Non of those reels have MG spools
  15. No, it stands for Magnum Light Spool. They just added additional porting and made the spool a bit more shallower than previous iterations. The reel will be hell of a lot more expensive if it had magnesium spool.
  16. I am not getting short strikes, because I am letting the fish actually grab the lure with moderate taper instead of ripping it away using fast tapered rods. Why is fast taper even necessarily for lures? Why does it matter if its treble hooked or single hooked? Can I get away with moderate tapered rods if I am using treble hooks with bottom contact baits for some reason? Fast taper to me is something that I actually need to set the hook on, so for stuff like bottom contact where I am letting the bait rest, and have to immediately pick up slacks and get a hook set on. You are never letting a spinner bait rest, and the fish are hitting it with full force trying to stop the lure, why do you need fast taper?
  17. Loomis TSRs are also something you should look at.
  18. Yeah, I don't look at it from treble hook single hook kind of deal, but whether the bait is moving or stopped. Why do people use trailer hooks all of the time with spinnerbaits? It's is so that you can give the fish more time to swallow and hook it self, and isn't it what moderate taper is there to do?
  19. For 300 dollars, nothing comes close to Metanium XG. I would pick it over the Exsence DC but that is my close 2nd. I also had IP79, and have used J-Dream 7.9, but they did not feel nearly as good in my hand(although still very very good).
  20. Interesting, I use 32 IPT reel all of the time and it feels perfectly fine.
  21. Metanium 16 does NOT have a magnesium spool, it has a shallow spool that's suppose to be 10% lighter than Met 13 according to Shimano.
  22. Steez rods are pretty hit or miss in terms of sensitivity, but they are suppose to be pretty good. Steez rods are also much better balanced than NRX and are very very light, but the AGS guides are suppose to be ultra fragile.
  23. I agree to an extent. I am sure you can measure the vibration being transmitted into the rod, and call that "sensitivity". Whether the person perceives it or not DOES NOT make a rod that transmits vibration better as sensitive as a lesser one.
