Sup guys, my birthday was yesterday and my wife said I could get a rod and reel. Problem is I don't know what to get. I'm mostly a bank fisherman. I currently own a Duckett ghost mh with a lews ss1. I think I want something to get my spinnerbaits and crankbaits further out. So bb1 pro? Tatula? What's a good medium action rod?

River 2 sea's new bully wa 2 is supposed to fix this. It's an open channel for the hook to slide in and the rest of the frog is sealed. I just ordered one to check out. And it has 6/0 hooks

Lord it's 2 in the morning and I just ordered another frog!All I needed was some mend it and frog hooks. Mdbowhunter: I literally just got done watching some videos on that shellcracker. Looks to be a beast.

Out of the carbonlite, Veritas, and Duckett ghost. I like my ghost. It's a little more sensitive then my carbonlite. All medium heavy. The Veritas is stiff to me.

I used 30lb braid with a 7ft medium heavy rod. But I also wasn't fishing the heaviest slop. Most like 65lb. If you get a heavy rod for frogging I don't think it would make a good cranking rod or soft plastic rod. Maybe heavy jigs and larger swim baits.

Say man, just keep at it! Took me a month and 3 different frogs. Lol

Yeah it's been all I can think about for the past few weeks and now I really got the itch. I just want to throw frogs! All the time! Lol. Bass newb I just read your thread and know exactly how you feel. Right when you want to give up on it... Bam!

This took forever. Lol. First I tried the lunkhunt in green tea. I got a blow up or two. A few weeks go by and I get a booyah pad crasher in Leopard on sale for 4$.great frog but I couldn't walk it steadily to save my life. Get a few blow ups, Nada. So I decided to bend the hooks out a little bit. Snap! Broke the darn hook. Go to get a frog hook but all sold out!

Hey guys. Picked up a pad crasher today. They are on sale at DSG for 4$.I think the color I got is called Leopard. Anyway do you guys have any tips to walk the dog? I'm using a lews speed spool (6.1) on a Duckett ghost 7ft mh. I'm 5'9 so I don't know if my rod is too long because sometimes I hit the ground. I can kind of get it to do it but then I lose the rhythm. I did get one blow up but I lost it. Think I set the hook too fast. Any tips I think would help

Hey guys I just started frog fishing this past weekend. I got the *** lunker frog basically off of pure aesthetic. I got my first blow-up but haven't caught one yet. I do notice that I have to squeeze the water out often like previously stated. My question though if I were going to purchase another frog to get a better frog fishing experience, which one should I get? Or which one should I stay away from?

If it was a light snag I must didn't feel it. I don't think I have a heavy hookset but I guess it's a possibility.

What size hooks you guys using on the 4.8 swing fat? I tried the gama swimbait hook 3/0 but couldn't get hooked up. Went to get 5/0 but was sold out so got 4/0. Hoping and a wishing it works. Lol

I was fishing a small pond and was trying out different lures. Using power pro braid with a leader. It was starting to get late and I wanted just one more fish. I was running out of fluorocarbon leader and tied on my arashi. But in my head I thought "those bassresource guys said not to use braid with treble baits". I did it anyway though. It had about 5 inches of line before the braid. I cast out the crank and get bit by a dink. I set the hook and reel him in. I look at my bait and I got one straightened out hook! From this little dink of a fish! I'm just here to remind someone it doesn't take much force to straighten out a (lite) hook with braid. Huuuuuh. Anybody know what kind and size treble I can put on arashi squarebill?

I got my first baitcaster a little over a year ago. Its a lews speed spool ss1. I put it on a bps carbonlite. And I started with suffix siege mono. I practiced hard because I was tired of giving up on it. Once I made up my mind I was going to stick with it. It didn't take me long to get it down. Backlashes are inevitable. But to me I hated backlash with mono. So I switched to invisX. I liked it a lot. Just recently I switched to braid (power pro #30lb) and I love it! I think I benefited going mono, to fluoro, to braid all on the same reel. Anyway I said all that to say "don't give up"

Yeah I saw the super silk but I figured I would start with the "standard" first. I literally have went from mono to fluoro to braid on this one/first baitcaster. And now I have a new 7'mh Duckett ghost (micro guides) because my wife just broke my carbonlite. Can't wait to fish it!

Wife broke my carbonlite today.... She told me to go replace it because she felt horrible. I got a Duckett ghost. Do these come with micro guides standard? Anybody know how I can fix/glue the top 3inches of my carbonlite?
