  1. Personally, I have much more exp. with a spin, rather than casting
  2. Yeah, but those 1000+ pound are are not bass. This is a bass fishing site.
  3. Rodents are like Senkos...they work like magic, but you can get cheaper versions that work at least as well, and don't rip as often.
  4. Hey guy, I recently obtained a new reel, and it is AMAZING. I will be doing periodic post of how well it is running. I know my title is "Official Lewser", but that doesn't mean that I'm biased. I chose that title BECAUSE of this reel.
  5. Lipless cranks and square bills, that's the way to go.
  6. Congrats! Frogging is one of my favorite ways to catch a bass.
  7. Go for the job. ↑↑↑Also, what he said.↑↑↑
  8. Use lipless cranks, and square bills, they work great as search baits. Cast around some cover, and try to find the bites. Good luck!
  9. Rattles, vibration, and color selection are the key to muddy water. Go with black, yellow, chartreuse, and red baits, they are the most visible.
  10. Hey guys, I thought I would start a thread on crank bait fishing tips. If anyone wants to offer their views on how to best work a crank, that would be awesome, and some new anglers can pick up some new skills!
  11. Black, Red, and Yellow are the best possible colors for frogs. I tend to go with black.
  12. Well, rip was more of a way to say take out in this case. I'll chooses my words more carefully next time.
  13. Found a Tournament Pro at USA Boat Store for 150, is this a reliable site. I don't want to use Ebay, and this was cheap. http://www.usaboatstore.com/store/shopCart.aspx
  14. While I love Senkos, if you are just starting, and don't have a high budget, go with some YUM Dingers. They have the same action as Senkos, but don't rip as easily.
  15. Not exactly the diameter, but ripping a barbed hook out wrong can kill or seriously injure a fish.
  16. Hey guys, I recently picked up a Fenwick Smallmouth Elite TECH casting rod, and now need a reel to pair it up with, preferably in the ~150$ range. I've been looking at the Lew's Tournament MG, BPS JM Sg Series, and the Pflueger Supreme XT. Any feedback would be awesome Thanks
  17. Couldn't pass up the Cabela's sale, got the Fenwick or 30 bucks off. Now just looking into a new reel.
  18. Ok, I think the Tatula is out of the running, down to two, but some more Tat influence might persuade me.
  19. Hey guys I am looking into getting a new "all-around-ish" bait casting rod for 100-150, and I think I have borrowed my options down to three, but will listen to other ideas. This is not a specific order 1.Fenwick Smallmouth Elite Tech 2. St. Croix Rage 3. Daiwa Tatula Thanks guys.
  20. I have a few spinning setups, I would like to also get an all-around bait caster
  21. Het guys I'm looking into getting an all around rod and reel setup for around $200.
